I am looking to purchase some digital calipers. I looked on Ebay and there are lots of them available, and I want to make sure I get a good one. What type do you all use, and where did you purchase them from? Thanks.

I just went and looked at my digital verniers and couldn't find a name on them.
The biggest thing is make sure there all stainless and probably a 6 inch pair are the handiest and most cost effective ., don't buy plastic !

You can find alot of good ones from $30-40 .

I believe these came from a tool warehouse [ e-bay I'd stay away from] and have had great results for many years.

Make sure they have 4 digits for tenths of a thousand.

Hope this helps

get yourself a pair of 8" digital calipers from harbor freight
when they go on sale I believe they are under $30 not on sale $44

Its nice cause being 8" you can measure your rear track width as well

check out this page
they have some 6" for $9.99

I just bought a set on ebay from Pro-Line Parts (no relation) and they shipped fast but the quality could be better.

The one's from Harbor Freight is the best way to go. There cheap and there accurate. I have a $150.00 pair of Mituyo's for work, and the cheap one's from harbor freight for RC. Have checked the cheap ones against the good one's and have never had a problem. They come with a case and work great. Just don't drop them for the ends are a softer material then the expensive ones and you can bend the tip easily then they don't measure so good. But there cheap enough just buy another pair.
