Just get the car thats easiest to get parts for. I would also get the buggy everyone else is running at your track for easy setup help.

Simply the best buggy LOSI has ever made "BK2". I had the B4 when it was first released, both are great cars.

B4 is pretty awsome, but they don't have the on power steering like a losi.

bk2 is a pile car doesnt rotate and if it does its lose... I have tried so many setups by pros and several of my own..B4 really is a better car then a bk2 now the xxx buggy is different . That car runs very well and takes the bumps good..

XXX is the buggy of choice.

Factory Team B4 w/plastic chassis is the ultimate buggy of choice. The 2005 Worlds is proof!

But take a look who was running it - a seasoned driver. Give the car to a rookie driver and see where it goes.

I think a lot deals with the driver and his or her driving style. A person needs to adapt better to the car than we tend to do. Just so much tweaking can be done before everything goes to heck. Did that with my buggy this year and it was a pain. Once I learned the buggy better I adapted to it and did very well.

An agressive driver like me likes a stiffer car compared to a flexible car - just my feel on the car. To each their own feel I say. I had a B4 and preferred the BK2 I got over it - because I can driver harded at times and still handle the car well - the B4 would lose itself when I drove it hard.

I think you wont go wrong choosing either one - have to throw in the Kyosho car that is coming out also.

Each have there strong suits. A Losi isn't as touchy as a Associated. That seems to be the way it has always been. That's why most foks prefer the Losi. that's just my opinion!

I think its just a big Flame war, Either one will do good, in the right hands. Its basically Fordvs. Chevy

Chevy is better then ford.. But dodge owns both of them! And the b4 is a better car!

"Chevy is better then ford.." now that's some funny stuff right there... Funniest part would be if you were serious. The best use ever invented for a Piece of Chevy is to hold your boat in place when out on the lake. (that's a boat anchor for you slow minded chevy people)

Not that i am a chevy fan cause i am not but chevy has made the best small blocks of all time and for a big block dodge takes that .. So what does ford have? Oh i know ..

You're confusing best small block with cheapest for which to find parts... Huge difference there. I've always been a Mopar man myself with Ford being a close second. But if you're trying to set up a racing program and you're on a tight budget, you can save some money by starting out with a Piece of Chevy.

Tony

P.S. To get back to the original topic of the thread, it's all about LHS support and what's most popular at your local track. You'll have better parts availability along with setup help from the local guys. So take a look around and make your decision based on that. They're both great cars.

Let's not forget Ford has the Boss 429 which is a Hemi!
It was in a pony car and the muscle car guys ignored it. Due to the Boss 429 Mustang being low production numbers it's not as popular as Dodges Hemi.

Back to topic, I say do as post above says. Go to your local hobbie shop and see what they carry parts for. If you just getting into Rc electric buggies.

The Boss 429 is an absolute beast. However, even though it has hemispherical combustion chambers, you can't call it a Hemi. Dodge has that name trademarked. A friend of mine has a 71 Gran Torino with the 429 drag pack. 429 Boss "T" motor with a Muncie 4 speed and a 9" with 4.11 gears. All factory options. Beautiful car.

Yup you are correct. I can't call it a Hemi. But it was a hemispherical engine with spark plugs in the center!

Ford also made another "Hemi" head engine....427 SOHC it was never a production car engine...Dragsters and PT boats got the majority of them....

As for the buggy??? I plan on the B4... I have a T4 and some of the spares are common..I think the Losi is the same, but I'm not positive.
