What is the best height body post (front and rear) to purchase? I'm getting ready to get a new set and was wondering what everyone else used. They will go on a KSG. Thanks!

By the way, I don't have a chassis w/ body posts in front of me or I'd just measure. :) ohiorcracer 12-28-2005, 11:28 PM CUrcracer- I sell the delrin body post in 2 different sizes 1 set is 1 3/8 in the front and 2 3/8 in the rear or 1 5/8 in front and 2 5/8 in the rear they come with shims to adjust the height if neccesary. The front post are also angled at 32 degrees too match the nose of the car. They sell for $6.00 shipped for four, I have sold plenty of sets here on the net. Just e-mail me at khenson4@columbus.rr.com to place an order. I accept paypal or money orders. If you run stock i would say the 1 5/8 - 2 5/8 set would work best. E-mail me khenson4@columbus.rr.com SlaminRC17 12-29-2005, 12:01 AM I run a set of the KND Concepts 1 5/8" front and 2 5/8" rear posts on my Hyperdive SSE Pro 2, in stock, and 19T. My car is just at the 4 1/4" roof height rule. These posts are awsome no body flex, and the set on my car is over a year-old they hold up awsome... Highly recomended... none better Carpet Assasin 12-29-2005, 12:51 PM Spend the 6 bucks and support a fellow racer that has brought a good product to the table. Also very well priced. I run mine in open mod and done my share of crashing, especially at BMS. Car was destroyed but the posts are still in use on another car!!! Mario DK47 12-29-2005, 03:52 PM Track Attack, contact Barry @ Hyperdrive for these! erock1331 12-29-2005, 03:56 PM I tried the Darkside posts that have the steel insert. They work pretty good but I noticed the screws tend to back of them after a while. I am gonna get some of the ones that ohiorcracer is selling this weekend and give them a shot. dave w 1 12-29-2005, 04:40 PM Dave Irgang At Irs Has New Ones That Are Perfect With The Great Irs Quality !!! CUrcracer 12-29-2005, 05:44 PM Thanks guys...I've decided to try the KND Concepts delrin body posts. I figured for the price they were worth a try...especially after the good reviews on here. Thanks again. Billy W 12-29-2005, 07:37 PM Yeah Dave Irrgangs new ones are nice... Billy davepull 12-29-2005, 08:44 PM go here http://www.mcmaster.com/ type delrin in the search. you'll be surprised. ohiorcracer 12-29-2005, 09:16 PM Of course you can buy it but it would cost you more to have it shipped to you then you have to cut it, drill it dead center so for $6 shipped and not having to to it your self isnt bad. Here is a couple pics. davepull 12-29-2005, 09:23 PM you are exactly right man not knocking waht you do for the hastle it is worth every penny. but if your someone who has the capabilties to do it yourself then you can make several sets for fairly cheap. Bill Johnson 12-29-2005, 09:36 PM Part #8576-K12 Made 13 sets for $5.90 (10 Ft.) Shipping was $4.00 (There's no minimum) but that was including the 600 Stainless Screws to go with it...... Lost alittle business Should have responded to my PM alittle sooner rather than 3-4 months later (Last Night)........ Next time I'll hook up with you....... ohiorcracer 12-29-2005, 11:22 PM Hey I am sorry I didnt get your PM until last night I didnt realize it was turned off. But anyway hey can you tell me where you got your stuff from cause for $4 shipped that is cheap cause it cost me $14 to have it shipped to me since it is oversize. Thanks and sorry again. Kevin davepull 12-30-2005, 01:07 AM Hey Ohio don't mean to sound negative towards what you do. I think it is awesome that your doing it. there are alot of people in this hobby that don't have the talent/ patience to do it. Have you ever thought of making adjustable ones? Remember the old TRC syle mounts. they are alot like the aluminum ones out now except the base is bigend and the top is small. that way you can sell the whole adjustable kits. plus the bases and spare posts. now that is something I would be interested in. I have the talent just not the patience to make them ohiorcracer 12-30-2005, 10:26 AM I have been trying to make adjustables but just cant seem to find just the right setup. Got any helpful ideas e-mail me at khenson4@columbus.rr.com Thanks competionpark 12-30-2005, 04:47 PM ive got some on my car that i would like to know what they are. they are black on top and are threaded onto an metal post. they use screws not body clips and have a small setscrew hole on the side. Not selling but just wondering what they are. ohiorcracer 12-31-2005, 11:09 AM Am not sure what those could be but I am in the process of trying to make adjustable post and I will have them posted as soon as I get them made thanks. Thanks Kevin @ KND Concepts ProSport 01-08-2006, 08:45 PM What is the best type of screw head to use with those body posts? I'm referring to the ones that hold the body to the posts. And who makes a good hex driver tool for the screws? I have 4 screws that require a 1/16 allen wrench but I've only had the body on and off once and the screw heads already feel like they're gonna strip out. I'm just using an allen wrench right now. Thanks, Bob ohiorcracer 01-09-2006, 05:57 PM Hey Bob go to your local hardware or someplace like fastenal supply comapny and you can get same type of bolt with a phillips head or if you wanna wait till I COME UP to akron again in 2 weeks I can bring you up some. I usually sit in the back corner of the track. Thanks Kevin H. Fl Flash 01-09-2006, 08:26 PM OhioRacer, I,d like to know how far your post are tapped into the bottom, the body chassis combo I,m running will require some trimming of the mounts.
