70XR7 12-20-2005, 08:23 AM $17,250! Thanks for the contest, what do we win??
YellowBronc 12-20-2005, 11:39 AM I wouldnt be surprised to see it go in the mid 20's. Thats one impressive collection
Pablodragon 12-21-2005, 11:31 PM saw this auction also, but made me think...
kinda takes the fun out of the hunt, doesn't it?..I mean it would be nice to look at, but if you had that much disposable money and u bought that, then what? just look at them as a display? no use hunting anymore, u got them all!
I guess you could try to get all the mirrors or maybe u get it for investment purposes?

Then the hunt is to find more of them in different colors!
Wouldn't the ultimate Topper collection be to have one of each car in each color with each different interior color?
fe428cj 12-23-2005, 01:37 PM I look at it like this, if this is what he is willing to part with then, what does what he has saved for himself look like?

Makes you wonder what the mans reserve is set at. . . $20,000 hasn't
met his reserve . . .
Mr.Stubbs 12-27-2005, 02:35 PM Could be he never intended to sell.
He might have just been fishing for a price.
jlightning 12-27-2005, 05:26 PM An old tactic used by many on ebay to have an un-realisitic reserve to see what kind of prices the ebay folks will throw at an item. (fish for current price w/o actually selilng). Its a useful tool, and a cheap way to see what someone would be willing to pay for an item you own w/o selling it.
Lpgeoteacher 01-11-2006, 04:07 PM Some will also contact the high bidder and sell it with no fees
