I know there has been alot of contreversy on the right fuel to use. 20% or 30% +. oil content. Brand and this is my findings which I hope will help some people in choosing the right fuel
Basher
For the typical basher a low nitro high oil fuel is best especially for a beginner. Something like blue thunder, traxxas, or maybe even trinity would be best. These fuels offer easy tuning, an oil cushion so if u run a little lean it wont hurt to bad, and u can see how much fuel is in the tank
racing
for racing mor power is better even if it cuts a little life out of the motor. For racing most use odonells or something like trnityrace blend. However, I have found the best fuel to be white lightning. I've tried almost every fuel out there and nothing has mor power, cooler temps and consisency than white lightning. I think most of the power comes with 8% oil and 30% nitro. I still get plenty of blur smoke so I know it is getting enough lubrication and runs 230 at obtimium. I gave some to my roommate to try with his 1/8th scale and he leaned it out 1/2 turn and it was way faster running same temps as before with lots of smoke. He couldn't belive it. used to run odonells now he uses it to start campfires.
So just for a little info here u go
basher- blue thunder
racer all white
