Seriously though, I am a fan of the terminator movies, Is there any sort of update on the synopsis or the cast for the new movie?
john guard 12-13-2005, 03:16 PM i think they need to do a "Son of Terminator" where Arnold falls for a soda machine and as a result " Terminator Jr. " is created but his flaw is he cant function without 75 cents in coin.
sbaxter 12-13-2005, 03:44 PM It seemed to me that Terminator 3 was setting up an additional sequel, all building toward John Connor's eventual realization that, in order to prevent Skynet from destroying humanity once and for all, he will have to sacrifice himself. It was preventing his birth which drove Skynet to send the first T-800 into the past, an act which led to Skynet's own existence.
But I haven't heard anything official.

john guard 12-13-2005, 04:10 PM ok, how about this one...... " Terminator vs Terminator"
yeah, the T-3 Terminator goes back in time to fight the original Terminator but realizes that T-2 Terminator is already there and so the three of 'em fight it out with catch phrases!!!!!!

bugs bunny 12-13-2005, 04:51 PM Or how about John Connor strikes a deal with Skynet and he and a new t-850 go back through time and work together to kill John Connor of the past in order to prevent skynet from being created.
El Gato 12-13-2005, 05:06 PM How about if the Terminator decides to commit suicide by running for office? His election results in a significant investment in Silicon Valley that ultimately leads to another career possibility for Skynet. Skynet, now a mega accounting software program, decides to bore humanity with statistical data. With the world safe and the Terminator's career in shambles, the movie going audience is now safe to move on...

john guard 12-13-2005, 07:07 PM thats sounds good except when does he use a shoulder mounted twin M-60 unit to blow out the windows of a skyscaper?
Richard Compton 12-13-2005, 08:08 PM What about the terminator robot was built of a human model and that model, now older travels back in time....and does action stuff, but this time he's an old man who can be hurt. Just....like....The Wrath of Khan!
3rdIgrafx 12-14-2005, 03:49 AM How about T2 goes back in time, captures T1, & puts him on Death Row, where T3, now governor, denies clemency, sending him to to execution, where the "Time Paradox" kicks in, eradicating all three in a huge implosion, before SkyNet can find the Chip that starts it all in the first place...... Then James Cameron films a version of it, starring Leonardo DiCaprio called "The Termination of the Titanic Abyss" (Special Edition).
lisfan 12-14-2005, 04:33 AM how about T2 vs xmas lights

:p :p :p :p
ChrisW 12-14-2005, 08:57 AM How about "X-Terminator"? He only kills bugs in computers...
bugs bunny 12-14-2005, 10:51 AM OT: Reese said..."These are new, they look human" "very hard to spot", If Skynet is the most intelligent AI, then why do all of the t-800 infiltrators look like Arnold? You'd think after going through all the trouble of making them look human to the last detail, they would at least look different. If it's like this then skynet should have just stayed with the endoskeletons.
terryr 12-14-2005, 12:11 PM One of them looked like Franco Columbo.

Ah-Nold is just one of many models. John Connor, in reprogramming the second Ah-Nold T-800 and sending it back in time had a fine sense of irony. He just liked that model for some reason.
And yes, there was a Franco Columbu model shown as well in a flashback sequence.

Yes, but Stan Winston said that they all looked like Arnold. So the Franco model must have been part of a not very well established part of the storyline in the movie, which are often seen in many original movies but explained away in their sequals.
GLU Sniffah 12-14-2005, 10:31 PM LOL!
Well James Cameron, Randal Frakes and William Wisher say there are different external configurations for the 800 series.
If they all looked like Arnold that would either make the Resistance blind, or the infiltration units aren't very good at 'infiltrating'...

True, but the infiltration units that appeared in all 3 movies were of the governator's configuration. This means that Stan Winston was right. And it also must mean that the resistance is blind. ;)
GLU Sniffah 12-14-2005, 11:23 PM It means that Stan Winston was right that all the 800 Infiltrators with lead roles in the films looked like Arnold. ;)

OK, well What about the Game made way back based on T2 called T2(I used to have it for Sega and SuperNES) The game could not have been released without certain approval of the guys who made the film it was based on. And In the game ALL infiltration Units WERE Arnold's configuration.
GLU Sniffah 12-15-2005, 01:24 AM It's not that I don't like a good old fashioned geekoid argument about fictional characters, but I'm bowing out of this thread....
The little debate, though friendly, has taken on the tone of:
" But...but...but So and So said..."
" The guys who wrote the script, screenplay and novel said..."
" But...but...but So and So in the wardrobe department say..."
" Yes, but the events depicted in the film itself show..."
" But...but...but...the gamer dudes say...blah blah blah..."
Really. It's been fun. Goodnight.
