Are there any 150ft+ runline flat tracks in the North East (NY, PA, OH) that allow Paragon? Thanks.

Halo is shut down. They will allow it at WOH in Cinncy at their SB warmup race in Jan.

We dont allow it weekly...Just for big races like the Snowbirds warmup on the 15th I believe. .. IMHO the track does not need it... Even at the race this past week I ran Jack instad of TQ or paragon because the bite was so high..

We have a 158' run line at Thunder Road RC Speedway; and we allow Paragon. Matter of fact, its all any one uses, I think. We're a bit out of your PA area, but its worth the trip. Check us out at thunderroadrc.com. Thanks; Ernie P.

I dont understand why most tracks dont allow Paragon when the Snowbirds is the largest race of the year and it is a Paragon race...

CRC Raceway in Rome, NY allows Paragon. Run Line is 105 ft. Mostly 12th scales runnin there, but some of the fastest 12th scalers in the country. Good 10th turnout at the New Year's Dash though. (stock & 19T, no mod the last couple years)

Paragon '' original '' is probably still a great product , but with everyone more aware of what their breathing these days , is a dated product.
If a track insists on an odorless compound then all racers are on an even playing field. There's lots of great tire softeners out there without the horrible wintergreen smell.
Applaud the tracks that don't allow it and the Snow-birds should follow suit.

Most "odor free" compounds are dengerous to your health. Fact. I'll stick with Paragon, gotta wash your clothes anyway.

Stinky paragon is safe for you. Maybe you don't like the smell.... but have you heard what Jack The Slipper does to your kidneys?

Here's some info for the uninformed...

The "smell" in orginal Paragon is methyl salicylate, "A liquid used chiefly in perfumery and flavoring, and in medicine as a counterirritant in external preparations".

Orginal Paragon is no more harmful than the other stuff out there, it just smells different.

Got Delivered - Check out Horsham R/C, the next oval date is Jan. 8 they allow Paragon and there should be some mod guys there. The track is about the same size as Snowbirds and the same carpet.

Methyl Salicylate is absorbed by the human eye and ask any driver who wears contacts how he likes it !
There's a few very safe compounds out there and more tracks should look at this subject for the future of the sport.
I can't believe the snow-birds which I was told is located in a Hotel buiding allows this------stand up to the racers , they'll still come .

So we should assume you don't use motor spray since that burns your eyes too. I once rubbed my eye after touching a hot pepper, they should outlaw those things too. What a burn!

If we all agreed then what fun would that be

Sometimes change is difficult to understand

Enough on this thread , its up to the track managers to take it from here.
