Does anybody trickle charge anymore? After being out of R/C for 10+ years and getting back in, I've noticed most chargers now are "fast" chargers now. Is this the norm now? Or is this from the switch to the NiMh? With peak of course. When I got out the peak chargers were a seperate inline detctor... We used to trickle the packs during the week then give them a hot shot with the peak charger at the track on the weekends... What is the the "prescribed" way these days?

Thank, Eric

The newer cells 3300,3600,3700 and 3800 NiMH can be ruined with trickle charging. Just charge them at 4-6 amps with a good peak charger for NiMH cells. They have a much lower peak detect than the older 1700, 2000 and 2400 NiCads.

Ah, so that explains why most newer chargers have only a set time of trickle once done a peak/fast charge.
