I'll be there for sure. 10th mod and if we can get enough guys maybe 12th mod too. After the weather we've had already this season I'm hoping mother nature delivers us some clear skies and sunshine for the travelers. Come on guys, bring it on, show us what you've got.

Remember the owner needs to order trophies and could use a heads up head count.the warm up race had no shows in the both 4 and 6 cell sk,street spec and 1/12th and not enough 19T's.please pass the word to people not on hobbytalk or the internet especially from out of town.alot of excellent racers are from the outer regions and the track could really use your support.flyers will be mailed out to racers and other tracks very soon.John

John, those flyers should be going out this week. Need enough advance notice so racers can make their arrangements and prepare.

Question about the classes, 1/12 scale...... Would this class be only 19T or stock as well?

And the spec class? does it matter what chassis is used? I have a speedmerchant speed spec chassis, it's pan car style would this be legal for spec class?

jmracing
12-12-2005, 09:59 PM
From what i can see classes could be as follows:remember 5 or more and they'll
run it.
1/10 stock
1/10 19T
1/10 4cell mod.
1/10 6cell mod.
1/10 4 and 6 cell sk
1/10 street spec
1/12 19T
1/12 mod.

please post on here if you would like any other classes at the winterblast please
these are only suggestions from me

Dahm RC5150, I knew once you got a taste you would love it, but I never thought things would go this far. I think we've created a monster.

So put me in for all the 10th mod classes with RC5150, and if we get enough, I'd like to run 12th mod too, and of course 10th 19 turn. I'll make a determination once I see what days each class will be running. I believe I can do two classes in a day, but I think three would be too much.

Chad or John, whomever is sending out the flyers. The guys at Marshall's are asking that you make sure you send flyers to Bill so he can get them out to the racers there. They tell me he has already started to pass the word at his drivers meetings, the flyers will only ensure more coverage.

Tommy, have you tried out the new 12th scale tires from rc4less? I made a run this past weekend with a set of 10th scale tires for the first time, I would have to say I was impressed for the first run. I see there aren't as many compound choices for 12th, do you know if they are planning to do more compounds in the future?

the warm up race had no shows in the both 4 and 6 cell sk.

Well the montville 4 cell sk crew didnt come for many reasons and especialy the snow. The entry fee was a biggee to. Originaly we saw entry fee was 35 at the door and 30 I think for pre register. Most of the montville 4 cell guys have never been to K/N. I did try to get them to go. I talked to Steve down at Hobbitat and asked him to relay the date of the race weeks before to get people intrested in it but no luck. When these guys herd banked I think they were a little scared. It is a hard track to drive on when you first start out racing. most of the guys are just weekend racers and not to concerned on improving each week just want to get out of the house and have a good time. Myself I got realy frustrated with the track and gave up for awhile. I am a fan of flat oval and always have been. To spruce it up once in awhile I do enjoy going down there, but not all the time. Challenge is great but I would rather be frustrated on a flat track. I like more than one groove tracks to.

its looking like 1/10th stock $50/with hand out motors
1/10th 19T $45 not sure about handouts or not should know real soon should he use the ultrabird also like maximus??
all other classes $30 except 4-6 cell sk and street spec they would be $20.do these sound like decent entry fees

He said he was not sure between the chrome or the epic gold motor.
I think he still has some gold motors from the last handout race, he might just add to that?

jmracing

At this point, I would like to see 19 turn NOT be a handout.

MIKE VALENTINE
12-15-2005, 09:44 AM
I think Chad only had two motors left from the last handout race. So just getting more of them would be no advantage. It would be nice whatevet he gets, that we can use them at other tracks. Is 19 turn going to be handout?

ovalrc
12-15-2005, 11:13 AM
I understand the cost of the race if the class you run is a motor handout class. We've already heard complaints from racers that did not attend the past race because of the race fee cost. How many racers do you think will come if they have to pay $45 to race with their own motors. For a guy to come in from out of town, spend money on a room, gas to get there, food, and then have to fork out $45 just to pay the race fee, that guy will stay home. We need to make this race inviting to get the crowds up, not give them another excuse to stay home. If a handout motor is an extra $20, then a race without a handout should reflect that. Just my .02. Something to think about. Bill B

Bill Auchterlonie
12-15-2005, 12:36 PM
I agree with Bill but I dont mind $50 for stock if you get a real handout motor as mentioned. I plan on coming up to support the race again. I just hope the heats are a little more friendly to out of towners than last year. Or just put Ray Charles in a seperate heat. See you in January

MIKE VALENTINE

Starting set-up tips? I need to buy tires for my 1/12 scale. What is recomended, Blue fronts? Dble blue? Rears Green? black? What's good to start with? And camber i'm thinking +2 on LF and -2 on RF is this correct? Dont hold back on basic secrets guys, help a guy out. Thanks.....

MIKE VALENTINE
12-15-2005, 05:06 PM
RCRacer00We don't run 1/12 weekly. chamber +1 left front, -2 right, castor -4 both sides, tires grey or white rears, front blues, blacks, or hard blue right front with black or blue left front.

ovalrc
12-15-2005, 05:14 PM
Racer, you didn't mention what you'd be running it in, stock, 19 turn, mod? Makes a difference on what tire. 19 turn, these are TRC tires, white LR, black RR, black LF, and dbl blue RF, same as we run in 10th scale. Last time I ran 12th mod at K&N I ran 3 purples and a pink LR, these were Jaco's. Hope this helps.

the bologna and some friends will be up for stock action and if its split like last year i may think at running a class that runs on sun

ovalrc
12-15-2005, 11:40 PM
I believe the classes will run in one day, so you can run one class on Saturday and another on Sunday. This is the way it was done in the past, except for the years when there were so many entries you couldn't do it.

Thanks for the help guys, I'm aware 1/12 is not run weekly, I'd like to try it for the blast and I'd run 19T. If i can get the set up than i plan to go there on fridays, Saturdays to practice the set up befor e the blast. Thanks again for the help. One more Question, What's good starting roll out for 19T. And I'm nor 100% sure yet on the motor I'll have.

jmracing
12-16-2005, 04:41 PM
Stock motors are gonna be" Chrome Monster Stock" Chad ordered them today. And 19T will be a non handout race which means arcor /roar motors will be the motors allowed to run.I beleive that means all standup brush adjustable timed motors only

MIKE VALENTINE
12-16-2005, 04:44 PM
Is the price going to change for 19 turn since it won't be a handout class.
