I have collected most of the parts to build 4 Super IIs as racers for my 4-lane home track. I currently lack the gearplates and arms.....

While I search for the proper original gearplates/arms, I am thinking of using a regular AFX gearplates with Galinko 3.5 Ohm Quadralams....

Does anyone know if a regular AFX plate will work? The only thing I am sure is missing are the two body bumps on the rear of the gearplate. Any help or advice would be appreciated!!

Regular gear plates DO fit. Just use a bit of plastic stock to use for the S-2 body supports. They simply keep the body off of the gears. Keep us updated!

The regular AFX gearplate will work but you'll have to change the crown gear to the regular AFX one. The smaller gear shouldn't pose a problem with the Galinko arms. I believe he winds them on zero timed XL blanks so they have a stronger torque output than Aurora's Super II motor. You need all the torque you can get to push around all that dead weight.
