Nolan31 12-07-2005, 02:24 PM Thought I would get a head start for 2006 WOOR. I know it is only December but man can't wait to play in the dirt again. Any ideas or questions feel free  SEE EVERYONE SOON
Don't forget about our website www.westoliverc.com
BrentV 12-07-2005, 06:06 PM Yeah, I'm ready to get back out on the dirt. I have 2 new engines for the 2006 season and I am getting the itch to run'em.
Nolan, how is it going havn't talked to you in a while? Are you diggin the dad thing?
Nolan31 12-08-2005, 06:33 PM Dad thing is going great. I am thinking if I don't sell my buggy getting the flat chassis for it so that it will be hopefully more competive. Next thing will be to save my pennies and get a new motor thinking of getting the picco P7 alot of good write up's on it if not I'll just get another c-5 and run the SH on smaller tracks. Got a new radio too stepped up to the M-8
David Washburn 12-08-2005, 06:34 PM howdy, do u guys know if chad is gonna run on sunday afternoon or saturday nights, cause that will determine if i get a buggy again or not
Nolan31 12-08-2005, 06:39 PM Not sure I have not had a chance to sit down with him. Been kinda of busy.
BrentV 12-10-2005, 10:31 AM The 2 new engines that I have are the P7R and the C5, got great deals on them. Also Chad will be running 2006 race season on SAT nights, the start time is not officially nailed down but should run until 12pm.
David Washburn 12-10-2005, 11:23 AM ok then ill prolly only be out there a hand full of times then, it is about an hour drive for me and im not gonna stay out until midnight and try to drive home.
wreckscuba 12-11-2005, 11:11 AM I like the idea of racing saturday. If we can get done at midnight I will be there .I love racing at woor But if it starts draging out to any later.I wont :( .last race done at 12 30min at least to pack up then drive home 40min still wont get to bed untill late. Also most parents wont be to happy with there kids out that late.Just my 2cents.
Cooter 12-11-2005, 03:16 PM I will go along with the general opinion I will race WOOR sat nights only if we make our exits from the track no later than an average time of 12-12:30am any later and getting the fam up for church is almost imposible. a
An earlier exit time would even be better say around 11 ish.
So by looking at the general opinion starting to form among the racers on the tread and the ones at WMRC that attend WOOR I hope Chad takes this into consideration when chosing a start time for sat nights summer fun, because I really would hate to stop racing at WOOR,,,, THAT WOULD JUST SUCK!!!!!!!!
BrentV 12-11-2005, 04:41 PM Seriously, I don't understand the fuss, the other track in the winter gets out after mid-night and nobody seems to mind. Also during the summer kids are on summer break, and getting to bed around mid-night wouldn't affect school.
BrentV 12-11-2005, 04:45 PM Hello Roy,
How's it going? Do you still need that Tire Trueing Cone? Let me know if you want me to make you one.
Cooter 12-12-2005, 12:26 AM Seriously, I don't understand the fuss, the other track in the winter gets out after mid-night and nobody seems to mind. Also during the summer kids are on summer break, and getting to bed around mid-night wouldn't affect school.
"Around midnite" is the main point we are saying!!!
We had 9 heats last night,, kicked it off a half hour late and still were done by 12:30am. with 12 heats I dont think we got out past 1am, that is very exceptable in my book, but the last night race I attended at Woor kicked off at 7pm had 4 heats and the night ended at 2:30am and the first one I was at also had four heats kicked off at 7 and ended at 3:00am, now I dont know about everyone elses kids but mine dont stay up that late even during the summer; and when they do they are grumpy and tired for 2 days afterward.
Not to mention how it throws my own schedule all out of wack.
The point is 3am is to late for a four heat race,,, period. and that is the point everyone is trying to get accross to Chad.
The people I have talked to say they will give it a shot and if things go smoothly and get out at a descent time they are all for the night race
David Washburn 12-12-2005, 11:29 AM That is my point, also yea i get out of wmrc around 12:30 but it is only a 15 min drive for me, if we get done at woor around 12:30 or one it is a 45 or so min drive for me so i wont be home until 2 or so, so it is a lot later than being home at 12:45, that is my point, but if we can get done at 11:00 or 12:00 then i will perfactly fine with that and will race. But if i start to get home at 2 or so every saturday then i will start racing every other weekend or one weekend a month, and Tim has a point, with four heats we should get done alot faster, and i know about the longer mains and everything but still it should not take that long.
Nolan31 12-12-2005, 05:53 PM I believe if we move the races to Saturdays things will have to be more structured and we will have a schedule set to go off of so that we are not there every night til 12:30 or later. You are right if there are only four heats we should finish quicker. But this past year was our first season really running under the lights you will always issues that come up the first time through no matter what you are doing. I am sure Chad has taken all this in with his thoughts of changing race day to Saturday nights. We hope that this will bring more people out to WOOR than push them away. It is nice to go racing indoor and have 30+ racers and I hope that happens outdoor too.
psycho02 12-14-2005, 07:53 PM How about 6 pm start time? Or even 5pm?
Cooter 12-14-2005, 11:40 PM How about 6 pm start time? Or even 5pm?
Thats what I was thinking,,, by 5 its cooling down, the sun is lower in the sky and if the track has been watered during the day it should make for some sweet racing!!!
BrentV 12-15-2005, 10:29 AM What part of night racing is not understood?????????? Hello, night racing is at night NOT in the afternoon. If racing started after 6 to around 7 then the last 2 heats of the day would be raced under the lights. Yes the racing can still be done around 12.
Cooter 12-15-2005, 10:39 AM What part of night racing is not understood?????????? Hello, night racing is at night NOT in the afternoon. If racing started after 6 to around 7 then the last 2 heats of the day would be raced under the lights. Yes the racing can still be done around 12.
The way the track record is it will still be ran under the lights. HELLO!!!!!
Nolan31 12-15-2005, 11:15 AM I believe if you start a sign up at 6pm and closes by 6:30 start at 6:45 should work out perfect you would get about the first to rounds under sun and the third and main would be under the lights. I think that would work fine it would be a challenge on two things your driving skills and how your set up is on your machine. This way the track is not taking a pounding and your not going to be there so late.
wreckscuba 12-15-2005, 11:33 AM What part of night racing is not understood?????????? Hello, night racing is at night NOT in the afternoon. If racing started after 6 to around 7 then the last 2 heats of the day would be raced under the lights. Yes the racing can still be done around 12. Not if things are ran like last year.At firstI was like its just the new scoring system after a few weeks things will be better give it some time and it will come more structured and we will have a schedule . There is a reason why the racers numbers went down from the first of the sumer.WOOR is a great track we are lucky to have it.I will and plan on racing at woor this sumer but if we are geting done at 2 or 3 am we had better have 60 racers not 10-20 and only 4 heats. What part of that cant you under stand Brent  .I am done with this chat.
BrentV 12-15-2005, 01:31 PM Well rather than ranting about the times and schedules. I'm waiting to see what Chad wants to do with this years schedule. I'm just glad we have WOOR to race at, because as we all know this track is the best in West Michigan "PERIOD" and will race there anytime of day.
New subject: Are there quite a few racers planning on racing Truggy this year?
psycho02 12-15-2005, 07:34 PM Vicksburg runs a couple of night races a year and I believe those start at about 6. they still get plenty of racing under the lights. Another thing to consider is that Nitro in general takes longer to get through a round than does electric. I think if you shoot for say a 5:30 start time you will probably get it all ramped up by 6 or a little after and then you are good to go.
wreckscuba 12-16-2005, 01:31 AM Truggy no:cry: .I want a new buggy  and a monster truck to beat on.But that being said I will probly just get one and not both.
BrentV 12-16-2005, 10:20 AM As far as Truggy goes, I will be running one this year as well as my buggy. I have a monster for bashing but for racing the truggy is the ticket in the truck class. I can’t wait to get the buggies out and stretch their legs with the new engines. I’m looking around to see if I can find a deal on a NovaRossi 528 for the truggy or I might just run one of my 21’s.
jasburrito 12-20-2005, 11:02 PM Merry xmas
Nolan31 12-21-2005, 01:42 AM Same with you Jason see at indoor after the holidays
jbrow1 12-21-2005, 09:24 PM Why start so late out of curiosity? I'm about 4 hours away and hope to make it out a few times this summer. Have heard from some of the mgr guys it's the place to go for nitro. The winter track you guys are talking about has 100-120 entries or so most weeks. Like 21 classes and they start early.
Do they race only one day a weekend? Just curious if the night racing is all that is planned?
Racing on sat sounds cool as I'll be staying the night. How many racers are generally in the heats? I run gas truck and 1/8 buggy. A buddy or two will be coming with me. Also have heard you guys are maybe having an rcpro race?
BrentV 12-22-2005, 11:24 AM One of the reasons that WOOR is looking at starting later in the day, is mainly for the track conditions during the race event. The track is not a Blue Groove track like the indoor track at Dirt Burners, so the WOOR track needs to have a fair amount of maintenance thru out the day. The track conditions stay more constant during the night and retains moisture better and requires very little attention. WOOR is also a lit with stadium style lights, so there is no problem with dark areas of the track.
As far as RC Pro Series goes, as I last recall WOOR will host 2 races with the final at WOOR.
Blueskid 12-22-2005, 10:35 PM Hey guys I now have a Buggy and will be joining ya'll this summer.. I'm really excited.. I just need to get a motor for the K2... any suggestions? any possible deals?
Dave Walton 12-23-2005, 11:41 AM I dont know how much you want to spend but you cant go wrong with an OS or an RB they are both good.
Nolan31 12-23-2005, 09:50 PM For the price you can v-spec for around 275 or RB C-5 around 300 which both are good motors
Cooter 12-25-2005, 11:31 PM Merry Christmas yall!!!!!! Hope everyone is doing well...
I just finished putting LIL Cooter's new ride together for next summer  (I think everyone nows what brand) HAHAHAH.
Even though I spent most of the day with an 1/8th scale I still cant wait to run indoors next weekend at the new years race at WMRC.. Hopefully in a couple of months ill be looking forward to running the ground pounders again but for now im happy just leaving them on the shelf where they belong... LOL
Hope you all have a very safe and happy New Year,,, SSSSSSSEEEEEEEYA next SPRING!!!!!!!! COOTER and Tribe.. :dude:

S.Stew 01-09-2006, 05:09 AM the Matrix Pro came out this past week. I should have mine pretty soon. Cant wait to hit the dirt, Its been a looong time since Ive raced anything, let alone on the dirt.
Blueskid 01-09-2006, 08:44 AM Still haven't decided what Engine to get, It's a toss up between the OS Rg, and the OS V-spec.. On one hand I've never had a nitro engine befor.. if I was to do something wrong and blow the thing, it would be harder to replace the V-spec.. but on the other hand, if I get the RG and get half way through the season and feel like it's just way to slow I'm gona end up buying something faster anyway.. I just dont know which way I should go.. Any opinions?
Nolan31 01-09-2006, 12:24 PM RG for the price is a nice motor to start it is not the fastest but plenty of torque for the buck. Jason Swint ran one last year and did awesome with it.

Yeah, I would agree that there is a lot you can do with the RG, as far as modifiying it. Swint and Ogle modified theirs to max it out. I think though if you are looking for all out grunt the V-spec is defianlty a stump puller. Mine has been running great all through last season and I'm not planning on any rebuilds on it this season. Unless something out of the ordinary happens.
Blueskid 01-13-2006, 08:08 AM Well after talking to Chad I'm kinda leaning twards the V-spec.. Hobby world seems to do a pretty good price for one.. I mean heck if I'm gona do it, might as well do it right eh?

Yup, I will agree with Chad on this one... You will enjoy the engine a lot.
S.Stew 01-25-2006, 02:31 AM Anyone running a Rex P5? Thats the engine Im looking at right now...So some feedback would be helpful. Thanx.
BrentV 02-03-2006, 01:03 PM Round 1 Entry Flyer is now available!!!

Cooter 02-08-2006, 09:42 PM 1/8 Scale Buggy Coming From Team Losi!
Official Press Release:
There has been a lot of speculation and rumors about Team Losi producing a 1/8 Scale off-road buggy. Well the rumors are true….. There is a new, yet to be named, nitro buggy coming and like most Team Losi designs it is quite different from the common chassis currently offered. Instead of taking the easy road of producing one of the two predominant chassis/suspension packages as has become the norm, the Losi design team did their homework and started with a clean sheet of paper. The new Team Losi 1/8 buggy uses the same innovative thinking, sophisticated technology, hi-tech materials and cutting edge design that has separated their racing chassis from the rest. This also marks the first American designed and produced 1/8 buggy ever offered to the world. A few of the unique and user friendly features include: a thick premium aircraft alloy chassis that has been machined for lightness, more centrally mounted motor, captured suspension and king pins, fully enclosed radio box and tray that is easily removed for cleaning, sealed diff housings, and an oversize fuel tank with constant fuel delivery. Handling has been optimized with a longer adjustable wheelbase, adjustable steering and suspension geometry, zero bump steer, and a narrower chassis profile for quicker response and better balance on rough surfaces. With the tooling already in progress and pre-production units due to hit the track soon we look to have production kits available mid to late summer.
YEA BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm does that mean Associated might have one on the way? I dunno they still dont have a 4wd 1/10 electric
cjzalsman 02-15-2006, 10:41 PM HOLY CRAP! Its been a while. I'm surprised my password still works. Well no matter what the sat. scedule is it looks like there will be a few new faces out at the track this year. At least 2 new 1/8 scale guys and probably 4-5 new monster truck people. No new vehicles for me, I still can't drive my broke ass 9.5 Taht sounds like a sammy hagar song to me... I can't drive.. my broke ass 9.5I can't drive.. my broke ass 9.5 :freak:
cjzalsman 02-15-2006, 10:43 PM Sorry, Taht should be spelled THAT.
BrentV 02-15-2006, 10:43 PM Hey guys, how many people have already sent in there reg. for round 1 of the Pro Series? I sent mine in the same day that it was released and heard that it will fill up pretty quick, so if your thinking of going, getr done.
cjzalsman 02-15-2006, 10:45 PM I signed up as "PRO Spectator" so if anyone needs a pit guy I'm available
BrentV 02-15-2006, 10:48 PM I'm sure somebody will need some help at the track. Man, I've been getting geeked for this race season to start.
Nolan31 02-16-2006, 02:10 PM Cliff hows it going good to see you still live.
