View Full Version : Wooo Hoooo
McLin 12-05-2005, 12:51 PM Don't expect any ground shaking news or important information here! LOL I just had a great weekend, it's half way snowing and halfway raining so I can't work, I just got home with a half gallon of Evan William's finest and I'm ready to PARTY!! LOL
Some friends of friends got started racing this weekend and that sort of got the original friends of the new friend fired up again, which got me fired up again for carpet racing and I think we are ALL going to have a blast this winter! Confused yet?
So here I am sitting here...with my half gallon of Evan.......and a race car that needs serious attention. I am just not sure who will win out.......the race car of the Evan Willams!
McLin 12-05-2005, 12:56 PM Well, after two rounds of Evan Willams..........this old diff just don't feel that bad.......think I will let it ride.
erock1331 12-05-2005, 12:58 PM haha, been there Lin
post back in 2 hours if your still awake, let us know how its goin.
Pick your favorite color of losi oil for the shocks, who cares what that number is on top
McLin 12-05-2005, 01:10 PM After three rounds of Evan Willams, I took the shocks off..........you know, they don't feel near as bad as the did last night when I checked them. Shoooot this car is coming together a lot fast then I thought it would.
Slider 12-05-2005, 01:18 PM McLin. Time to put the head down. Kinda like all the girls get purtier at closin time.
better check that t-plate...may have a bow.....
McLin 12-05-2005, 01:24 PM After four rounds.........or was it five.....I lost count! I checked the front bearings....they roll as good as the rear ones do so the heck with'em. Front springs have a little sag in them but that's nothing a shim won't fix........wonder if I can get those e-clips off.........REALLY need to paint a body though......heck I have plenty of time now.
McLin 12-05-2005, 01:25 PM T-PLATE? Where is that at?
not sure...i think the T stands for triangle...only triangle on my car is on top the front end with all-thread sticking out
McLin 12-05-2005, 01:32 PM Well..........I couldn't get the e-clips off so they will just have to do :(
This car was not in near the shape that I thought it was last night. If I could find my body scissosrs I could start trimming a body out........this is going to be fun!
McLin 12-05-2005, 01:38 PM Found my scissors though...............and cut my finger....errrrrrrrr
erock1331 12-05-2005, 02:48 PM hey Lin
whatever u do, dont fire up the dremel with a cut off wheel, lol
we dont want you takin an arm off
Lin,be careful! you gotta race to come to down here in South kakalaky next year.
McLin 12-05-2005, 03:37 PM Ya know what, this body I ran last time looks pretty good too. Heck I'M DONE..........that won't all that bad. I don't know why it takes you guys so long. I'M READY.....LET'S GO RACIN..........right after I take a nap.
Thats funny!!! no thats really Funny
thanks for the laugh McLin
Ernie P. 12-05-2005, 09:34 PM Sorta sounds like the time I got into a discussion with a good friend over the relative merits of mescale and tequila. Now, any fool knows that mescale is the active ingredient in tequila. Tequila is a mix of mescale and garbage. The better the tequila, the more mescale it contains. A really good tequila will be about 40% mescale. But mescale is a better drink than tequila could ever be. However, the yuppies have discovered tequila; and pushed the price up to where it almost rivals mescale, the infinitely better drink.
The thing is, mescale is a smooth drink. Very smooth. Good for doing the salt, lime, shot thing. Tequila is a poor cousin; too rough for drinking straight.
Thing is, tequila makes a better marguerita; because a good marguerita needs that roughness in it. A marguerita made with mescale is *too* smooth. So, mescale for shooters and tequila for margueritas.
He (ignorant sod that he be) disagreed. So we did the salt, lime, drink thing; first with tequila and then with mescale. Then we made a couple of margueritas; first with mescale and then with tequila. First round seemed to indicate the wisdom of my analysis; but, to be sure, we repeated the process.
He (simpering liberal that he be) still wasn't sure, so we made a tequila with mescale and marguerita'ed the... actually, we thought we screwed that round up. So...
You knew, afetr a whilst we wasn't shur is the meserita weren't better than the tequale in a mearerata or schtrate outs teh bottle.
So remember; drink responsibly. Don't spill any. Especially on his dog. Which licked it up and fell off the porch on his wife and we dropped her up teh stairs. Where we slept. Thanks; Ernie P.
McLin 12-05-2005, 09:39 PM LMAO very funny
But I like Tequila.......it makes my girl friends cloths fall off.....
Ernie P. 12-05-2005, 10:30 PM As the pundit said
"Candy is dandy;
but liquor is quicker"
Thanks; Ernie P.

Harold R 12-05-2005, 11:17 PM Oh boy it has been a few hours.... Lin are you ok over there or did you pass out on the keyboard? lol... Glad to hear you are going to run with us this weekend!! I'm tired of seeing sit behind that computer and just running the race. Time to run yourself. That car is either going to be wicked fast or head right for the wall. lol Hope he did not wire up the motor yet it might run backwards...
I'm working on some refreshment here myself just found out I have no work tomorrow. That means the Early Times and I are spending some time together tonight and tomorrow I can get the car ready for the state race at Thunder Road.
Ernie P. 12-06-2005, 05:15 AM Don't worry about Lin. He will be fine. Well, fine for Lin, I guess. The car? That should be interesting. Thanks; Ernie P.
Porksalot4L 12-06-2005, 04:38 PM i think this raises a decent question. why is it that all other forms of racing allows the spectators to drink "adult" beverages while watching the races but in RC racing its strongly prohibited in most cases... is it because rc is for a younger crowd? what are your thoughts. maybe i should make a Thread on the subject. im just curious why that is.

Generally it's there, just kept low key.
Porksalot4L 12-08-2005, 10:51 AM ok shhhhhh :) thanks Pepe!
wowracer1 12-08-2005, 11:45 AM Probably since in alot of local cases that kids are involved.
That was the reason that Adult beverages were not allowed at a track that I ran for 7 years.
