I am new to the whole mod can thing, I bought a used 19T Epic D5, there is no lable on it how do i tell where 36 degree, is??????

If its a d5 can there should be a line on the can.. If the line in the endbell even with the screw is pointing at the line on the can its 0 degrees.. if you turn the endbell counter clockwise untill the last in the series of lines is even with the slot in the can its 36...

For Mt FUJI motors you basically have to use a set of calipers or a timing jig ..

You can also look at the endbell. There are 3 lines starting were the screw is. Each line is spaced 12 degrees. Find the line on the can and line it up with the lines on the endbell. Another thing to watch for is to have the polarities right. If you have the + - hooked up and the motor is spinning in the right direction then its ok, if it is spinning backwards then you're 180 degrees off. Just turn the endbell half a turn or 180 degrees and you'll be back right.
