2 vendors said they had gotten all 6 as white thunders in sealed cases. Kelly's slot site also lists all 6.

If anyone got a sealed box with one please post it.

I'm not sure what you're getting at but as far as I know there wre 3 whites in the BTTF series. The Buick GN, Corvette and Javlin. Although it's easy enough to swap bodies around in this series...

Hi buzzinhornet. Tried to get a definitive answer in another thread. Thanks for reminding me. I wanted to add a reply and forgot. I will bring it back up.

RC2 released all 6 cars in the "White Thunder" version but with regular colored bodies.
I have personally opened over 200 inner cases and only found (1) Nomad and (2) '46 Ford. I found many of the Javelin's and Grand National's.

I asked RC2 why they released the cars like they did and said they saved money and time by doing so.

I have been selling them for $15.00 each but only have a few Javelin's and Grand National's left.

What's the politically correct word for LAME?

It sounds like RC2 put very little effort into producing legitimate white thunder chase cars in the waning moments of their slot car experiment. That probably explains why my interest in the white wheeled cars from that release is so low.

The prior white thunder chase cars had some of the most interesting paint schemes of the lot. If Round2 is to continue to build interest in this sort of program they will have to put some legitimate effort forward.

I think Lenny hit the nail right on the head with his "all white" chassis for the upcoming Speed Racer set chase cars. I'd also like to see other color coded chassis schemes as well, like a bright red chassis to designate an "SS" series of cars. In my mind an "SS" setup would come from the factory with the following:

- Red hot color chassis and gearplate plastic
- Chrome plated gearplate retainer
- Balanced and lower resistance (8-9 ohm) arm
- Dual flange independent front end
- Dual flange rear hubs with silicone slip-on tires
- Hardened steel axles (straight!)
- Some sort of low key SS markings on the bodies

Just a few tweaks and cosmetics to let you know you're getting something better than the stock offering. I'd pay more for an SS model.
