I read this site pretty regularly, but I've never seen a post about new Tomy Super G+ bodies. I see them at the scale auto site. Funny thing is I didn't see them on the toy racers . com site.

9940, 41, 42, and 43

and some pt cruiser SRT's 9492 and 9493

Is this old news?

Just about to post those. There is also another PT Cruiser. www.scaleauto.com (http://www.scaleauto.com) has pics.

Now is there any news on the new Hot Wheels Electric Racing F1 cars? Last I heard they were "maybe" going to be the Red Bull and Renault cars . . .

Assortment?!? I know of four different colors. Are there more?

I picked up the four new open wheeled Tomy cars and I must say that they look much better in person than the do in pictures. The paint jobs are definately hobby related rather than authentic livery but I'm okay with that if it keeps the costs down. I don't mind hobby themes when they are well done, like they are on these cars. A great example of a "not well done" hobby theme ("license avoidance" may be a better word for it) is the Tomy #24 stocker.

One thing that's interesting is the packaging. The cars shown on the back include the highly sought after red/white Denso Toyota GTP and yellow/black Taka Q GTP cars, probably the finest cars Tomy has ever done. The Denso Toyota is the pride of my collection and the Taka Q is my #1 most sought after car. You never know, maybe Racemasters will find it in their heart to redo those bodies. In all likelihood they are recycling old packaing, since the dates on it are 1998.

Four is all I've seen listed or pic'd. Couple with flames, one as a Woody and the other if I recall was a plain Jane model. rr

Saw a couple auctions for new Tomy stock cars too -- couple of new paint jobs on the existing Monte Carlo body. "Manic" was one, forget the other.
