Most of the time you use a chassis that is adjustable to have the wheels line up...
Other than that cut the chassis and make it longer or shorter...

Well I have built a ton of hardbodies, right now we`re racing FCR`s 4 1/2 " with 55 Chevy bodies and Nomads.I`ve built 4 1/2 nascar with parma flexi1 and flexi2 with indy side pans with 1/16 pin tube for body mounts.IF you need some ideas just ask.I may have built one like it at one time or an other or one the guys have. The kings of this is the guys from Pelican Park raceway in Oregen Oregenhtm210@attbi.com

I use all vintage adjustable chassis. Dynamic makes a ton of adaptable chassis. I like the Aurora K&B motors with either a K&B chassis or a Dynamic.

Here is a Howmet Turbine w/K&B motor and Dynamic chassis:

Here is a Richard Petty Valiant w/K&B motor and chassis:

I also like the AMT or the reproduction. I made a 65 Dodge using a Polar Lights kit and an AMT chassis. I'll look for pics.

Good luck with your project!
