I need some information on PayPal. I know nothing about PayPal and have interest in getting/using it.

an overpriced way of people sending money for online purchases or auctions.

It is a service that allows people to send others money for purchases, gifts, etc using your credit card. I allow the use of PayPal for people making purchases from me. My fees to PayPal are less then the cost of my merchant account for taking credit cards.

Yep what people dont understand is the business pays the credit card companies as well when they sell direct.. I lik it because you dont have to be in a store to buy something..you can buy stuff from anyone.well anyone who has paypal..

The disadvantage is to the buyer however... with PayPal, the buyer doesn't get the same benifits from their credit card company as they would if they purchased directly from a retailer that used the tradtional credit card arangement... Benifits such as buyer protection, etc... With paypal, your the users credit card purchase are alot more like a cash advance then they are like a traditional credit card purchase.

I rarely use PayPal as a consumer... mainly because I really don't like all the fine print they have... Basicly I use PayPal, only if the retailer/seller give me no other option to use my credit card...

i dont use a credit card on mine.. i have a card on file but never use it.. i have it hooked tyo my bank account.. no extra fees ect.. simple fast .

You can use your credit card to make a payment via PayPal if you wish. Just use the "not a PayPal" member when paying for the item.
