WE'RE LOOKING TO UP GRADE OUR CURRENT AMB SYSTEM TO A WINDOWS SOFTWARE FORMAT SO WE CAN USE A LAPTOP W/XP.
ALSO HAVING PROBLEMS WITH CURRENT SYSTEM MISSING LAPS AND THERE'S NO CONSISTENCY WITH A PARTICULAR TRANSPONDER OR VEHICLE.
IT JUST SHOWS AN 8 SECOND LAP VS 4 SO IT DIDN'T COUNT A LAP.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

I think its an AMB -20 , which is their latest version for rc racing.
Aprox . two years old.

AMB is upgrading any RC system to count both replacement and personal transponders for FREE , they just finished ours this week, turned around in 3-4 days ! Great Service

Make sure that your loop is at least 2 feet wide Wider is better. If you make it too narrow it will miss the faster cars. With a small loop the system will be inconsistant. Signal strength will be good but the number of hits will be low.

Thanks , we did widen the 15ft loop to about 18 inches and it helped over the previous 12

Yea we had the same problem. It was OK when we were racing slower cars. Once we went to 19t we fought the problem for a few weeks tried several things (new computer, new loop and coax, ect) That is when I noticed that the slower cars were getting a lot more hits. We made the loop wider and the problems went away totally. Hits came way up on the faster cars.
