Great idea for a thread here on Hobby Talk Mike. Maybe we can get some of the guys at Medina to show up and make a stand.

With that, I would like to make a shout out to Mark. We had some problems, but I am looking on getting us together (Medina guys) to show CRCRC what Medina brings to the table. Mark, if you are interested in patching things up, e-mail me, trust me, things have changed.

Looking forward to this race, so interested that I am putting the 12th scale away till this race is over.

Since us 4 are the only ones that have posted here...what is the 4WD class like? I bet it is great to watch.

Are you guys running down there? If you are, what have you done as far as changing your set-ups? I ran the same set-up down at CRCRC that I run at Medina. As far as that goes, I ran the same set-up at Indy and the RAC in Pittsburgh. I guess if you know what your truck is going to do helps...!

Jerry - I think the new thing we have will do very well down at the race. Can not wait to unveil the secret weapon. Gonna get er done in a major way.

I hear the race is in another area that has seating and maybe some decent heat! Last time I was down there I was sick for a little bit after I got back home!

Mike- I know my friends Joe, Zac, Ryan, Tim, Eric, and I are going. I know there will be more but I don't remember there names.

Myself and some others from Washtenaw RC Raceway are going. Not sure exactly how many yet but I'm sure it will be a good sized group.

Glad to see some of you making it down. I am going to start running in Columbus next weekend to get back into the swing of things. The track right now they run looks pretty good.

Not sure when you guys are going down but I plan on going Thursday/Friday to get some major practice in on track.

Got my new 3800's coming and the right tires I need also -just have to dial the truck in.

I am going to run stock truck - MF2.

What is everyone else going to run?

I'm planning on making it. IT all depends on my Chemo-therapy. Or should I say how I will fell from it that weekend. My last treatment is on that Friday before the Electric race. So hopefully I'll fell okay to work and race. I'm looking forward to it.

Hope you are licking the cancer! I lost my mother in 97' at the age of 52 to cancer. The stuff is tough but treatments are a little different now than it was then .

I hopefully am picking up a 4wd this weekend down at the track and will be running that also. Try something different and I may do pretty good.

Awsome, This is just like the track I'm racing at now. I can't wait.

Just to let you guys know, we run on MX dirt used by our fairgrounds. It is strictly clay, no topsoil at all. There will be alot of bite in the am. Not much by the end of the day. We run Pink Tapers in electric truck. Gas guys run holeshots to squarefuzzies to tapers. 1/8th guys run inside jobs, switch C compound and mini pins. I think switches, then mini pins, then insides work.

if they prep the dirt like they always do its gonna be 90% close to what it normally is

Anyone know how the pits are done? I was wondering if need to bring a table. Also, what is the power set-up? I will be bringing a power strip but do I need to pack an extension cord? Thanks...........Scooter

If I remember right from the last time I ran there are tables and chairs there, but I would definately bring a power cord and strip since some were having to tap into the power a good distance away.

Getting my xxx4g+ today or Friday I hope. Debating if I want to juggle 3 classes or just 2.

It will be a good time for all I think especially since they moved it to this new location.

Looks as if gas is full but electric is wide open still.

Anyone planning on running the Dec 25th? They are open and I am planning on going down - have to get some run time in and dial the cars in also.

Well I got my confirmation.......looking forward to racing there in Jan. Does anybody have an idea to how long the track will be? CRCRC is racing on Christmas day?

Not sure on the length but from a few years ago the track was huge that I remember compared to what I normally run on.

Yes they are running on christmas day. Come on out if you get a chance. I have to go to get back into the swing of things on offroad.

All I know is that it will be a nice track at the Midwest!

The track CRCRC normally runs at is at a different place. I know they will be putting the same attention into the temporary track at the state fairground, but the dirt will be different and the main reason for me to go over would be to test out tire choices. I do however have a local track to practice at. So I will be there over the holiday break as much as possible. Plus I'm getting a Spektrum from Santa...LOL and I need to dial it in.

Are entries closed for Gas mt? I have a Lst I would like to run and just found this thread.

They do a radio impound. Has anyone ever had a problem with it? I did get the Spektrum and it seems over cautious to impound them.

When I went last year everything was fine with the inpound.

Well the packing has commenced!!!

I have too much stuff - this is nuts but I would rather be safe than sorry. Do not want to get sucked into buying a $200 speedo again like I did at Halo and I do not use it.

Practice will be fun at least for Thursday - Friday will be nuts so I will get some in but relax the evening for a frigin change.

Fantom - I will catch up to you down there.

I should love 4wd - got some funky sticky tires to try out and see how they go.

Jerry - wish you could be down there running with me - but R&R are priority right now for you. Racing will come in due time.

Mike- If you get there before we do on Firday would you be able to save us 2 pit spaces? If we get there before you we will do the same.

Mark - I will be down on Thursday morning - and I will get a good spot and save 2 spots for you guys. I know I will be ther when the doors open to get as much time in as I can.

Getting pumped up about it now. Work is almost over, packed up except for clothes and need to get a good nights sleep.

It finaly is that time. Pack up tonight, arrive tomarrow and see what thy have put together this year. Last year was fun, but should be interesting at the new place and a track. Safe driving to all and see you there. To thoes not going, your missing a fun time.

Hopfully I get a plack again. Last year I got one. Were leaving tomorrow but we won't be at the track until Friday's practice. Got everything ready, just need to pack the clothes. And if you need some packs zapped Mike, I am bring my zapper.
