Hello, never posted here before, but I have a question. I have found a old Kyosho off road car. It is the same one I had as a kid back in the late 80's. It is mint in the box. Never put together. My question is would it be wrong to put this thing together and run it. From some limited reading I have done on some old kits, some people advise on not putting them together if still boxed. Any advise would be helpfull. Thank you.

well lets see. What is in the box???? if you are talking about an old kyosho raider or pegasis or something like that ya do it. an old optima, javeline, vaning, ultima. if its new in box neaning still plastic bagged parts. thats where it can get tricky. they can fetch some nice money. you said you found this???? or did you buy it?? how much did you pay.if it's n.i.b. then i would tend to say no, go on ebay and find a used one to relive the old days. but hey it my opion....

I see your point. It is a Kyosho Icarus. Close to the Pegasis I believe. It, and all it's contents have never been removed from the box. Everything is sealed in the box. The box itself is mint.I do own it. I payed $100 for it and that included a new battery and charger. I thought that was a fair deal. Hope I did not pay to much for it. I just have not been able to find a real nice used one. So I bought this one. So do I keep it boxed or run it? Thank you for your advise.

i would say run it you probably could only get what you have in to it, so thats up to you. i would build it and run it so thats my opion.
