Still no winner. Maybe I will have to post a clue. To be fair, I will post a clue around midnight so all that have guessed today are not slighted. And for those that haven't guessed yet, might as well post a guess, the clue will be too close to tomorrow.

Good luck!

is it in plural or singular ???

is it related to diecast ???well, I could post the hint now but then your guess for today would have been wasted. I was planning on posting the hint tonight so that everybody had a chance tomorrow. The word is singular, and can be found at dictionary.com. I have a tiny vest dictionary here at my desk and it is not in there but there are tons of words not listed in there. You all have hit a lot of 4 and 5 words but not too many 2 & 3 letter words used yet. ;)
Hope that helps a bit. Tonight's hint will maybe a part of the definition or something.

It appears there are probably a total of 335 different words in sequential of which, as I see it, 263 are a maximum of 5 letters.

I'll try "Quasi" today.

It's taken, I see now.

Since you can't edit and I picked one today that was already picked, how about "Quint " for today.

Well, I know when I started this contest, I said I would remove a letter each week but I am sure everybody is getting frazzled here so I will give up some more hints here.
Lets reveiw. Not longer than 5 letters. I then mentioned that there weren't many 2 or 3 letter words here.I will confirm that it is in fact a 2 or 3 letter word.

Here is my next clue... (sorry I posted a bit sooner than midnight but I am tired and want to go to bed)

In ancient times, this item was used by Muslims instead of alcohol.

Good luck!!

Thanks Yellow Bronc, actually I knew it as khat, (don't ask how I knew that) but thats why I didn't think about it but when he gave the muslim hint and I knew it was also reffered to as "Arabian Tea" I did a quick google and found it spelled as qat.

Sorry you stayed up till midnight for nothing :(

Yup, same thing as me, found out that qat was also an accepted spelling. As for staying up this late, I have fridays off, so Im usually always up this late. Anyways, Im glad I didnt win since I just won a contest last week or so. Im anxious to see what the prize will be, hope its a good one

I knew I gave up to much info! Especially with Pony on the case.
I know the spelling as QAT because I play Scrabble and in the delux edition, it has a list of usable Q words that don't need a U.
Well, congrats PONY. You won both of my contests. The winner of my next contest will be chosen in a poll by fellow HT members so you won't have to worry about people talking.
Well, here is your prize.....(choose between the 2 pics)

Thanks for the offers guys, but I can't except it. Pony, you won fair and square, end of story. I had posted my guess for the day already, I happened to be able to be online late last night when the tip was given. Not to insult anyone, but having just won the last contest on here given by John (jasydad), I would rather see someone else have the winnings (not that I wouldnt take one of the prizes you offered ;) ) Anyhow, you guys figure this one out as to how it will be done. Thanks for the kind offer, but I must decline

Thanks for a really fun contest. You certainly had a lot of us thinking.
And congratulations to Pony, as I feel that she was the real winner here.
YellowBronc, a nice gesture on your part to decline.
I think that we were all winners with this contest.
I got a lot of enjoyment out of the contest.
Someone might have to do another one of this type.

Pony has requested that I donate her winnings charity so the Speed Racer cars will be given to my local Toys For Tots program. Thank you Pony and also thank you YellowBronc!
I still want to give something away to one of you guys so the first person to post a valid word using letters fron the winning word will win the Chrome cars!

GO!!!

Corngrats. Again, lets thank Pony and YellowBronc for this second chance. I told Pony I would post the 2nd chance as soon as 10 or more members were online and there were 14.

Mike, PM me you address and I will get your prize pack sent out.

COOL! Thanks for the contest, and for the 2nd chance one, as well. This was fun, interesting, and educational. (and to think my wife thinks I'm just wasting time on these boards!)

Centershock, special thanks for all your interest and participation in this little corner of our hobby, going out of the way to keep things interesting.
