Braga is calling it quits on ST.

I think it's the other way around.

It seems a little late now to come to that realization after both the show and the franchise are in the toilet.

im reminded of paul calling john sometime after the beatles had disbanded to say "its over"....

y'know this presupposes that paramount still has a star trek production office, but what they could possibly be doing, other than "auditioning" starlets, is beyond me....

To Braga: Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Oh, and if I were you, I'd be looking over my shoulders constantly because there are tons of Trekkies who would love to get a piece of that bounty that's on your head.

Good luck with everything you miserable piece of (dare I say it) bantha fodder.

Not to get my franchises mixed or anything.

Originally posted by me over at Starship Modeler:

Y'know, I never thought that Braga was nearly as deserving of the ire of the fans. I never really "hated" the guy for being a writer - "All Good Things..." is one of my favrote TNG episodes - so much as his direct association w/Berman. Yeah, VOY was a sad example of what Trek can be and ENT's first two years didn't live up to most of fandoms expectations - mine included. However, I think it was the combination of Berman and Braga that finally dragged Trek down in to the Depths of fan ennui, to say the least.

I dunno. I'm sorta "enh" where this news is concerned. Sort of a "too late to save the franchise" feeling, I guess.
I still feel that way about Braga. To my thinking, the worst you can claim is that he let himself be bullied by Berman to change his line of thinking to what Berman wanted.

Brannon Braga...great at coming up with new and weird ideas...he just needs help with some of the plotting and charactarization...or you end up with Voyager's Threshold.

... and celebration erupted all over the planet when the choke hold was released. Everyone rejoice! Now maybe someone with real talent will start wrighting some good scripts and maybe they will get picked up. Lets all pray it may happen.

All that's left is to jiggle the handle.

YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! One down One to go.........

Berman was always the problem...Braga just needed someone to actually write his ideas...who could actually write.

What was the name of the guy who gave us the last season
of "ENTERPRISE"? It was finally good.
He was writing about pre-Federation events we had always
wondered about.
