Hello all,
I know that there have been some comments, posts, etc. regarding the closing of the Barretown RC track in Barre, VT. I wanted to let everyone know that we are NOT closing our doors.

The club is having some difficulties with finances due to increased fuel costs and the like. However, we have shifted some things here and there and worked with our landlord and will now be able to at least continue at our current location through the remainder of this winter season (2005/2006). We will also be having our scheduled trophy races in January and March, as part of our 3 race series.

In the spring we will re-evaluate everything and will either be staying where we are or finding another location in the area. Either way we will still continue to support and host rc racing in the Central Vermont area.

I apologize for any confusion that those comments have caused.

You can find us online at http://www.barrerc.com. The results from our Turkey Shootout Trophy race will be posted in the next few days.

The Barretown RC Club would also like to thank Bob Tourangeau for his efforts over the years as Club President. This past weekend Bob retired from the position and is going to pursue racing with his son around the region, we wish him the best of luck. If you need to contact the Barretown RC Club please visit our website and use the "Contact Us" form.

Thank you,
Jay
