I've heard a few rumors, but something from roar would be nice. me21 11-17-2005, 05:24 PM Yeah!! Any word on when and where???????? EAMotorsports 11-17-2005, 10:33 PM Rumor I heard was it is going to be in NC. EA burbs 11-17-2005, 10:54 PM its funny they have already said where the paved nats will be yet no one knows where the race 6 months earlier will be.. go Roar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! davidl 11-17-2005, 11:14 PM The 2006 ROAR Carpet Oval National Championships will be at Sandhills Raceway on 24-26 March 2006. Mike Russell will be the POC and his phone is 910-281-5844. The entry form should be ready about Dec 1 or 15. me21 11-17-2005, 11:42 PM Roar is bringing it back to the bank's, EAMotorsports 11-18-2005, 02:19 AM Very nice dates....The week after the Roar Carpet On-Road nationals. You guys really know how to help the manufactures be able to attend all the nationals!! Thanks guys! EA Rickity Racer 11-18-2005, 12:48 PM Two weeks before the ARCOR Carpet Nationals? I going to Akron. burbs 11-18-2005, 01:41 PM I thought Roar carpet nats were always in april??? me21 11-18-2005, 02:33 PM Two weeks before the ARCOR Carpet Nationals? I going to Akron. Same here davepull 11-18-2005, 08:39 PM that also happens to be the same weeekend as the Daytona Speedway spectactular. which is a race that has been going on for years. so count the florida boys out. crash 11-19-2005, 07:32 AM yeah what dave said!! Beero 11-21-2005, 12:33 AM I talked to Fabio today before I left sandhills, and he has good reasons as to why the race was moved up. He told me everytime they have a big race in late april it starts to get very hot in NC, making racing indoors uncomfortable, also with the large number of pine trees dumping pollen into the air, it gets everywhere including inside the track due to keeping the doors open from the heat. I only wish the different sanctioning bodies would communicate better and try their best to compromize so that its easier for racers to race at both events, with the arcor open at in akron in early april. burbs 11-21-2005, 01:33 AM Maybe Roar needs to make location decisions sooner.. the arcor races are always well noticed for racers to prepare.. The last few years Roar drops in whenever and complains when few show.. If the race is always in late april, it should be held to that time frame.. Im out.. no way id be able to make two races that close.. arcor race sound more apealing so far anyway.. Id love to go to sandhills, but the name attached to the race slows me down.. Dawn Sanchez 12-05-2005, 06:02 PM ROAR national dates are always selected by the host track in their bidding process. Only, as per rules, if these dates conflict another ROAR sanctioned event, do those dates get modified. The host must select dates that will coincide with their schedule therefore they must have full discretion as to when they can complete the event. No set dates have ever been made but its always advised to attempt to stick to the same time frame. The selection process is done at the fall meeting in October and it does take a little time to verify 10 to 11 national venues with each host. The 2006 nationals can be found on the ROAR website. davepull 12-05-2005, 08:30 PM whatever, still stinks that this ROAR race that is normally in April is now in March on the same weekend as a the Daytona race which has been going for years. Beero 12-05-2005, 09:48 PM Dawn, I understand how the dates are picked for the event, I'm just saying there should be a little communication and some flexability between the racing organizations. Look at the results from the roar, arcor and norrca nationals the past few years, for the most part it is the same people who go to these races. having the roar nats and the arcor open so close together is only going to hurt the attendence for both races. As I said before I can completely understand why fabio moved the nats up from the traditional time the roar race is usually held. I just want to see a good turn out at both races. I don't think that will happen. Joel Biro WIGMAN 12-05-2005, 10:11 PM I think this whole thread is hilarious. I see the same names bashing NORRCA on their thread and even some of the same bashing ARCOR on theirs. The race is going to be held when and where it has been listed, if you can make it, great , if you can't, sorry about your luck. Your coming on here and pissing and moaning about it isn't going to change anything. Some of you do actually have valid points that ROAR needs to hear, thats what E-MAIL is for, I have e-mailed Roar about concerns before and have always got a quick response. Is ROAR perfect, NO, but trying to please everyone is impossible, I am sure some of you would be here complaing if the date was still in April. You would say things like, WHY IS THIS RACE ALWAYS IN APRIL, SO AND SO ALWAYS HAS THEIR BIG RACE ON THE blank WEEKEND IN APRIL AND BOO HOO BOO HOO BOO HOO. Heck, we had what we consider to be our big trophy race in the middle of Nov. One of the people that has complained here on this thread actually complained that he would not come if we didn't legalize 3800's for the race because that's what everyone is running now. WE did legalize them but definatley not because he said he wouldn't come, by the way did he show up....... NO. were my feelings hurt...........NOPE. Some of you have got apparently nothing better to do that to bash everything and everbody trying to promote some good racing, you are the first to say oval gets no coverage and no respect, every think maybe your the reason?????????????? In closing I would like to say GROW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beero 12-06-2005, 12:30 AM grow up? I'm mearly trying to get a good turn out for 2 different races, one of which is my home track (akron) and the other at my favorite track (sandhills). I'm not complaining, or whinning, I want to see a good turn out, with the best possible competition. Maybe someone on here can sift through your pointless rant of a post and find something that might be useful, but I don't think so. WIGMAN 12-06-2005, 06:38 PM Beero, Did I call you out? I don't think so. Part of my point is that most of the complainers on this thread have no intention of going to both races, they just like to come on the boards to bash on Roar and every other sanctioning body, I guess it's probably more of a hobby for them than actually racing. I guess it would just be nice to come on the boards and see whats happening with ROAR rather than see headlines like "ROAR screws us again", ROAR screws up the carpet nats again" jsrocket13 12-07-2005, 08:48 PM NEWS FLASH!!!!!!!
