So racers, get ready for one of the best flat track races of 2005. Remember for those that can make it late friday afternoon or evening, practice till Midnight. Doors open Saturday at 8:00am and practice till noonish. Then 4 qualifiers and single main. Stock, 19 turn, open mod and brushless 5800. I am expecting a good turnout of open mod. Come on out to Cincinnati, Ohio for some awesome racing.
This will be a paragon race.
There will be some great door prizes and raffles.

OK this is second hand info...Ive not seen a flier.. yet so its subject to change...

I HEARD. ... that the fee is $30.. Its a CHARITY RACE FOR TOYS FOR TOTS..
RULES... I did not ask yet...Usually like for stock 19T we follow arcor style of rules... Its not and arcor track but just loosely thats what we follow...Im sure John or tom will chime in with specifics on rules and fees, classes..

Here is the info I copied from their site.
I know there has been some discussion about paragon at all my big races. We typically do not allow paragon. I do not want my local guys to feel like they are buying something that they will use once or twice a year. I will stock paragon for you at a very reduced rate. You will have to be signed up to get the discount. It should be 40-50% cheaper, around 4 bucks. You do not have to buy it. I am not sure it will really help all that much, but some of the out of town racers wanted to be able to use it. It may help early in the day, but I imagine you will be switching back to niftec for the later rounds.

All day friday will be practice. Open at 7am.

Saturday open at 7am racing will start at 2pm.

We will do 4 qual rounds.

Classes:

Oval Stock.
Oval 19T
Oval Brushless 5800 Novak
Oval Open Mod

The race entry fee will be 30 dollars.

Prizes and trophies will be given out to the top 3 a-main and first in the b-main.

Prizes will be a pro3/Possibly a KSG. Tires......

The proceeds will go to toys for tots. I will match 1/2 the race entry fees.

Bad for the racing program.

I think hays is still waiting on his stuff to come back from sandhills... Must be taking the los angeles route to wisconsin...LOL...

Looking forward to running with you guys on a surface I can be competitive on...LOL..

This is a great event guys..The track is very very smooth, the facility is first rate, and we have quite a few fast guys running locally and making the trip>>I fully expect records to go down.

BUT most importantly, Its good knowing that the money is going to a good charity Toys -for-Tots>> It is fun to race and also good to know your helping less fortunate have a great christmas..

It wasn't a late night road trip, just a really late night haha. Plus it was only a monday????ouch. Programs got nowhere to go but up. Hopefully santa (UPS) will show up today with that stuff.

Kobak I'm stll grinding out my theory to be submitted to Hypothetical Racing. Right now I've only got you half a lap back under the best scenario.

They will be teching, got to see the new tech station and it's sweet. Nice work Roger! Of course, now that Hays has to run at legal body height, I've gained back the half a lap I was hypothetically behind!!LOL (see Hays, I'm so much better at it than you)

How far is the track from Indy? I hear an hour and half, but us out of towners cant do 90 all the way! Is anyone away of construction either in Indy or on the way to 'nati?

NH

Kenwood
12-04-2005, 06:41 PM
from indy realistically probably 2 hours if you dont like to speed... I was in indy about a month ago...I dont recall any construction or anything that would cause a problem...I recall there being some barrels or something right outside of indy...but nothing that would cause a big delay..

Well here is the rub... Usually we are not permitted to run paragon...so from that standpoint there is a bit of uncertainty...setup wise is same as 19T..

USUALLY with TQ8+ we run XXPINK rears a Pink LF and a Purple RF or XXpurple ..
But again with paragon in the equation I cant say for sure that those will be the tires of choice... Hopefully after practice on thursday night as we get the paragon flowing John will chime in with the answer. ;)

This past saturday I ran 2 tire combo's just for kicks. I skipped first qualifier. Ran purple rf,xxpink rr, and pink left side tires...ran 65-4.02 in 2ndqal. 3rd qualifier ran gray/silver rf, gray/white rr, and pearl left side, ran 65-4.02. Switched to a white from gray/white on rr for main and ran about the same, which was about 4 seconds off the fastest cars. Hope this helps.
