i have an HPI Nitro MT that i recently purchased off of eBay. It has A HPI TX2 radio, a HPI RX1 Receiver, HPI SX 1 throttle servo (all standard equipment) but the steering servo is a Hitec Super Torque HS-605BB servo.

i think that my problem is that the radio thinks center is one place and the servo thinks it is another place. When i turn on my radio the wheels turn hard left. So far left that adjusting the trim and/or the steering linkage still won't come close to pointing the wheels straight. So i am wondering how do i sync up the radio and the servo so when the radio is straight, the servo will be straight and the wheels will point straight.

You will need to remove the servo horn (part that screws on to the servo output shaft) from the servo. Now turn on your radio/receiver and set all steering settings to the middle position. Turn off the radio/receiver and reattach then servo horn so the wheels are pointing straight. You may need to make minor radio adjustments from here.

Note: make sure you do not turn the servo output shaft after you turn off the radio gear.

CELEBRATION TIME! COME ON WOO HOO! IT WORKS!!!!!

It has been a long battle with this. I bought it off of ebay, it was described as "perfect running condition, comes with everything except fuel and batteries"

It arrived no glow plug, no glow plug heater, engine loose in the box with no hardware included to attach it and the carb was seized solid. But everything works now, i will be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow to give it its' maden test run!

Ok, i understand what you are telling me but no matter how many times i take off and reposition the horn it alwast manages to settle with the wheels turned all the way left.

I will turn the radio and receiver on and center everything on the radio, turn everything off. remove the steering linkage then the horn. I then pont the wheels straight, connect the linkage to the horn then slide the horn back over the output shaft with the wheels still pointing straight and being very careful not to turn the out put shaft. i turn everything back on and the servo goes right back to a left turn position.

so i tried again but i did not turn the radio and receiver off. I left them on and left everything center. i took off the horn and repositioned it on the output shaft so the wheels were pointing straight and then put everything back together. Once everything was tightened down, i would turn the wheels back and forth just to test them but i found that the wheels still managed to center at a left turn after only 3-4 turns back and forth. It started center, then went far right when i told it, then far left then i turned the radio back to the right and it only went part way and i let go of the radio steering wheel and the wheels settled back in a left turn position.

This is really annoying me, is this a servo thing or a radio thing, and how do i fix it???
