I'm thinking of running my carpet knife on oval. Now I know this car isnt intended for oval but just as a once in a while thing I thought I'd see what kinda imput I could get. any setup help appreciated. The track I'm considering running at is a 80x40 flat track

I personally think a standard roadcourse 12th scale is faster on oval then a oval version.. the cars are so small, there is to much weight on the left side..i think it will work just fine for you.. only setup change is maybe a harder right front spring to help the car be a little less agressive..
mike if you drove my 12th scale you would think differently.. btw anytime you want to borrow it you're more tham welcome..

I have presonly ran 12th both ways when i first started racing its all in the setup but i still prefer the oval cars over the road cars the best thing to do is fing the center of the pod and use an flathead screwdriver or an X-acto knife and set the tweek screws so the right rear picks up first by a little bit and work it from there

The million dollar question is what body will they let you run? Give me a Parma speed8 and it doesn't matter what car you run. It WILL turn. LoL

How about the other way around? I have a 1/12 oval that i would like to run on roadcourse! would the longer wheel base be any advantage? I dont think the left side weight is any big deal. Just a thought, your opinions would be helpfull.

looks like my batts arent going to make it here before the holiday which means no 1/12 oval for me.... but there will be next time. That being said when I do make it out I would like to use the afore mentioned montecarlo body... any additional tips would be appreciated.... I know someone made mention of a stiffer rf spring what one(s) would you suggest? along with anything else.
