Just out of curiousity and since my mom is based in Corning 2 hours east of you guys. I might try to attend your trophy race Feb 18th.

What does your 4 cell stock look like for attendance and competition? I race mainly in Granby, St-Roch, Plattsburgh, Massena, Barre...

Outlaw 44, last year at the feb. 19 race we had around 30 guys running 4 cell stock I believe, Overall turnout was 95, which is pretty respectable considering the turnouts at other big races (other than snowbirds of course.) A lot of Top Caliber guys have ran here, Jeff Carpeletti (spelling??? sorry Jeff, lol), Pete D, Billy Kimpton. Rumor has it Ziggy, Pete, Steve Miller, and Jeff Carpeletti might be making a trip here once a month to run modified? Racing is typically very close, last year I think you had to be within 2 seconds of TQ to even make it in the show for the 4 cell stock A-main. If you need any set-up info let me know, I should be able to get you in the ball park. Looking forward to seeing you if you decide to make the trip, bring some friends, lol. Have a good one.

Mmm

Sounds very interesting. I'll just bring my 4 cell stock racer up for a spin then. I'm just drooling over that 170 foot race line...

What do you run for tires and roll out in 4 cell stock?

JeffPatch29
11-11-2005, 07:59 AM
Tires varies with manufacturers. Last year I ran murdocks and had good success, white left rear, double grey right rear, grey left front, and purple/blue right front. I am trying TRC's this weekend, and will let you know what I find for compounds.

Roll out depends on motor, I've been as high as 2.15 and as low as 1.90. I am sure we can get you close when you get there.

Great track... I had tons of fun this weekend. 21 cars in 4 cell stock. 4 people in 19T. I hear there is some type of big race there this weekend... so everything is stock only? After this weekend I will be running 19T with you guys.

Tom this track is insanely flat. The only bump you feel is when you drive over the loop. If they made it a over head loop you would never feel anything unless you hit the ice. Trust me.... Don't hit it. These guys do a hell of a job for a track that gets packed up.

Woodhams... if you and Dysart are coming we can run 12th scales then. I think they only require 3 to make a class.

Jeff.... I heard they open at 10, is it 12? i want to get there early this week so I don't have to thrash as much.

Smalls, the Hooters Outlaw Tour for 4 cell stock will be in town this week. We will probably have 30+ entries for this class. All classes will run, including 19 turn, as long as we have at least 3 entries. They start laying down the track at 10:00 and practice starts at 12:00. Some of us get there early, get set up, and then go for breakfast while they finish setting up the track. See you Sat. It should be a good one. Bob Patch

Yeah i will be there. Guess i will be getting my 1/12 ready to go. I let Bart wheel it last week and she got some wall damage...I think dysart is looking for a ride.I have andy with me but we could prob fit 3 if we put our stuff in the back of the super ford. No cover on the back yet so I have to see what the weather is like.

Tom AKA(Pancartom) send me an email briwoo@frontiernet.net Dysart want to get a hold of you. I will give you his number...

So there will be a 19 turn class??? What motor can we use. I see that it has to be locked timeing?? If so guess I will have to buy a new motor. What about stock. All i have now is 4 mags. Are they leagal there??

Thanks

Brian- 19 turn pan car is adjustable timing only. mod truck is fixed timing. out law stock is not legal in 4 cell stock. only Roar approved stock motors. If I can be of anymore help, let me know. Hope to see you there.

I usually have Niftech TC in stock at SPC (http://www.specpointbatteries.com) and I take a few extra bottles to the track with me. I'll be racing at the Indoor Champs at Cleveland this weekend, but other than that look me up the next time you are at the Jamestown track if you need some.

I had a great time in 19turn. I will be back this week to race.great track

Chris are you going down there this weekend??? I think Dysart is coming. We were talken at work today....You know he is my boss so it is OK :) lol

I would like to make one sugestion to make it better.... Need to move the driver's stand back about 2 feet. When all us fat guys get up there we have a hard time seeing around the person next to you.....if we could stand fat kid skinny kid it would work but there seems to be a shortage on the skinny kid side..
