View Full Version : Munsters!!!!
porsche917k 11-06-2005, 08:54 PM No vested interest in this listing in any way shape or form, but geez, what an exquisite piece of custom work, and fetching a nice chunk of change too!

car guy 11-07-2005, 12:48 AM Boy, I tell you...some people have wwaaayyyy too much money.
Mike(^RacerX^) 11-07-2005, 01:43 AM I might be wrong, but I think both of those are converted JL diecast cars.
AS I remember it,they were awfully heavy too.
Mike
joez870 11-07-2005, 07:43 AM Right you are, Mike!....on both counts. Still cool though.
tjd241 11-07-2005, 08:09 AM ... I wonder if it'll go through my Tomy 3" hairpins???

Thats where I got mine, only I traded, and at that time he was selling them for 50.00. they are diecast on slimline chassis, but the guy (Smokin Joe) really had that chassis tweeked out, I never saw a slimline fly like that. He tunes and makes sure all his cars run good before selling them. All cars I got from him flew like the wind.
red73mustang 11-07-2005, 11:42 AM I think Racing Champions may have made less detailed versions of the Munster Mobile and the "Dragula" Granpa car.
Slott V 11-09-2005, 07:12 PM Here's the same guy with the JL Dragula car on a tjet chassis. Hey if this guy gets the money for this stuff it may be worth doing. Minimal investment, big ROI.
http://cgi.ebay.com/THE-MUNSTERS-SLOT-CAR-HO-SCALE-DRAGULA-COFFIN-DRAGSTER_W0QQitemZ6011591117QQcategoryZ2619QQrdZ1Q QcmdZViewItem $190+ and 7 days left in the auction!
Hey I've got a Partridge Family bus on a Bigfoot chassis. Say $150?
If people are buying them then it's not a rip off. Although P.T. Barnum said it best.... :hat:
joez870 11-09-2005, 07:24 PM You will also notice that the same jug-head who got the munster family car is high bidder on the dragula.
He may have put it on a TJet, but it looks goofy now. Too wide and out of proportion. (especially against the regular scale canopy from the donor.
He lost much of the detail on his resin repops with all the filler used in his mold-master.
A for effort though.
(mine only fit the slimline aurora.)
Just my opinion.
