Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea has now been officially announced for DVD release in February by Fox. The first volume of season containing the first fifteen episodes in b&w will be released.

No mention of the source material for the DVD's, but if they follow the same course as they did with Lost In Space and use 20+ year old transfers, then the release will be bittersweet.

The only extra is the unaired BLACK AND WHITE pilot?!? That's bad news already--the pilot was filmed in color and has been aired as such on the Sci Fi Channel several times. Yeesh.

The price looks steep too. :( I'm NOT impressed.

When I saw this thread earlier I posted the news on Starship modeler and Ron replied that he picked it up for about 20$ he said . He said it was a double DVD so I'm thinkin' what he got was a collection of selected episodes and not the first season set.
