I have 3 sanyo 2400 6-cells and one gp3300 6 cell. One of the 2400's isn't working properly and im not sure why. I was thinking of taking it apart and making the other 2 2400's 7 cells, as well as my friends 2 2400's 7 cells. I was wondering if you guys think this would be a good idea? Also, could I attach one 2400 cell to my 3300? Also, I am running them in a XXX-T with an LRP Ai Bullet Reverse Speedo.

If you plan on doing any sort of serious racing i would NOT do this, i would DEFENITLY NOT put one 2400 cell in a pack with your 3300s(2400 cells are NiCDs, 3300s are NiMH, your just asking for problems there). If you plan on doing this you would have to wire the cell in there so as to be able to get the pack in and out of your truck easily. But also, does your ESC have the capacity for 7 cells? and if its only 7 that it goes up to(which is probably the case) i would not want to push the envelope in that regard. Also do you actually know for sure which cell(or cells) are bad in the pack you want to take apart? If you get the wrong one it could ruin all the packs that you try this on and from the way you sound in this post as well as others, you dont exactly have the money to risk doing that.

So yes, 7 cells might sound tempting, but DONT DO IT you'll cause more stress on ALL your equipment such as: more volts to ESC, motor gets hotter, vehicle goes faster so you'll get braver driving which most likely leads to more broken parts, i could go on.

thank you for your response. I definately do not have any extra money I can spend on anything, and those were good points so I think im gonna stick with my good ol' 6 cells.
