Thanks in advance, using xp, trying to install and run an iPod/iTunes, finally got the software installed,,Now everytime I attempt to transfer cd to iPod the computer freezes.usually freezes with the insertion of the cd, also computer is really slow, any ideas? Commputer is HP 8676

These are the things I would try first.

1. Make sure your anti virus is up to date.
2. Clean out your temp files with ccleaner. http://ccleaner.com/
3. Use spybot search and destroy to remove spyware & adware http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/
4. Run windows update from IE

Now that we know you have a clean PC. Try to transfer to music to your Ipod. If it starts to crash go to your task manager (ctrl+Alt+Delete) and look at the process tab. Double click on the CPU column. See what process is locking up the PC. Another thing to look at is the Device monitor. Right click My Computer go to properties, then Device monitor. Look for any devices with yellow marks.

When loading the software did you get any errors/files missing?
