View Full Version : Anybody else see the 6 car SF tins?
straightnnarrow 10-25-2005, 01:59 PM Saw these this morning at Target. Six cars with boxes and a tin to put them all in. They were going for $24.99 I think. I don't want all of the cars so I didn't buy, if anyone else did and can put up pics please do so, thanks.
Clark :D

That Cobra is pretty awesome though.

Castle 10-25-2005, 03:03 PM Yep, defintely NOT worth $25.
Dead Dude 10-25-2005, 07:16 PM So six 2 dollar cars, and one twelve dollar tin? Hum. I'll pass.
Atencio 10-25-2005, 07:40 PM The Cobra looked awesome in the other photos.
GO-GTO 10-25-2005, 08:20 PM It looks pretty but that price seems overly excessive. :( Now if they had put 10 cars in it like the HW sets I might have considered it.
looks nice but $25 is way hi
GO-GTO 10-27-2005, 12:54 AM I saw a full shelf of them sitting at Target today. For my money, in this case I'd rather buy a Johnny Lightning 10 pack for 19.99 and have more cars with even more detail.

Where are you gettin them for $2?? And it looks like a good Christmas present to me :D
midtown 10-27-2005, 10:41 AM These cars are real pretty in person. But it looked like almost every tangerine Camaro had horrible paint defects? I was also dissapointed thet the Shelby Cobra is purple, I thought it would be blue.

They were $24.99 at Target. I agree they look like a nice Christmas present. Just a radical departure from the typical 'more bang for your buck' when buying Matchbox cars.
plankowner 10-27-2005, 04:07 PM I bought a set as I truly like the Superfast cars. Thay do look quite nice and at $2.99 a piece for the cars, you're really only shelling out another $7.00 for the tin. :) The paint on all these cars look quite nice to me. My question is why the "S" on the Cobra concept box instead of a number like all the others. Wonder what it signifies? And as far as the Hotwheels set, they were $34.99 at the same Target. No tin, but you do get 10 cars. I guess that puts them at about $3.49 a piece going that route. Here's a link to the thread discussing those.

The "S" on the Cobra refers to it being exclusive to this set!
It does not appear on the tentative list for 06!
moparmarc 10-30-2005, 12:03 AM looks cool but again, not for 25 bucks, not even a mopar in there, will buy it next year for $10 somewhere
Bugzy 10-30-2005, 04:30 PM ..I like this set...
...would definitely be on my buy list if I see one in the stores..
...the Cobra concept is cool..!
Pablodragon 11-02-2005, 11:07 PM I have seen them in every Target now... just sitting there... probably a ong time at that price.
I guess it's cool that they are putting an exclusive car in the set, with the rubber tires... but I'm just not into that Shelby 'concept'...not the MB or the Hot Wheels version... have a feeling if the rubber tires, special version was that Camaro, those sets would be flying off the shelves...
jedimario 11-02-2005, 11:17 PM Well at least they'll get marked down fairly soon at Target, imagine f they were at Wally World
Camaros 11-03-2005, 09:16 AM Our Target has had them now for over a week. They haven't sold one yet.
Nice set but I'm with everyone else. To much green.
GO-GTO 11-04-2005, 12:03 AM One Target is sold out of them, another has only sold one.
Also see the HW California Dreamin 10 car sets just sitting there at $35, no tin box and the cars look like regular issure variations.
