I am about to embark on doing my own vacuum forming of HO bodies. What I would like to know is what is the best material to make molds with and the best way to go about making molds for vacuum forming. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Tom
almost any material works...it just depends on how long you want it to work for and the amount of detail (and suction) you have available. We use a combo of clay, plastic and resin.
Hope this helps!

Tom, Sorry about the problem on the vac site...I have the site saved as I'm a member...I guess I'm not too good at this computer thing yet. Try this: Yahoo Groups HOslotcarvacuumforming (big O in HO) The group is headed by my friend Rocky of HODRA drag racing . Perhaps he can help. Rocky makes bodies under the site of RJM Racing HO Customs . I'll still try figureing out how to get you a link Tom....Tom O.

Any help I can be, let me know. I have done a little in the past (T.O.P. Finishers)....Tom O.
