I am lookin to get a monster truck to start racing at my local track and im not sure which one to get. The two that im lookin at are the Traxxas Revo or the new Losi LST2. i dunno if they really compair since one is a big block and one is a small block but for racing and a little bit of bashing which would be the best choice?? Thanks for your help.

I'm not a big fan of the traxas 2.5 motor although I love the truck. the first thing id do is pull the motor and put in an O.S. and sell the 2.5. Everyone at my track seems to have problems also. we have about 10 of them running around.

The LST got some real good reviews. I have yet to see one in action due to the price, but it looks great for bashing and racing. From what i hear it has a Granny Gear also. great for rock crawling should you decide to do so.

If I were chosing, id go with the LST

i would also go with the lst.i like the big blocks myself.and ive also heard lots of good things about the lst.the revo is also a good truck but the 2.5 is a very hard engine to keep tuned.always wants to overheat.never had any luck with them

I own and love my LST. Only problem I had off the bat with the Mach .26 engine it had. First motor blew up on break in, the second motor I got blew up after I had broken it in and thats when I said "Heck with it" and bought a HPI .25. I put this motor in and haven't had a single thing wrong. Can't go wrong with the LST

Another rc truck that seems to be doing well in racing these days is the the Tamiya TNX. I know that it's only a .18 powered truck, and I also like big block trucks (I own a Savage with Picco .26 engine), but it seems like the Tamiya TNX is a good potential racer. Revo is also supposed to be pretty good in racing. LST looks like a fun truck. You might try reading up some on sites like rc trucks (http://www.rc-trucks.org/) and check out some of the other rc trucks out there. The HPI Hellfire also looks like it might be a good racer, and it's another big block truck that is a new design. I like my big block .26 powered Savage, but I use it for "backyard bashing" and not racing.

Hpi's Hellfire is more of a truggy (purpose built race truck) you will loose ground clearence but I think it will handle better then the others
