Mr-Tamiya 01-28-2006, 08:33 AM Jay-where can we fly electric helis indoors in Cleveland? Golf dome in the valley is the only place I know, youll need to call the dome to find out which day as it always changes it seems, and you will need an AMA member ship.
rayhuang 01-28-2006, 04:04 PM I signed up for ama last week. I also heard of another sports dome in Brainbridge every Saturday evening. I will know more about it in a few days!! Hows that MX400? I am going to buy a Trex or MX400 as soon as I gte mt Raptor built I think. I like the Blades, but the fact I cannot fly them at home (always windy) has me bummed.

THe mX400 is very good, Smooth! very upgrade-able. Its a T-rex copy, all of the hop ups for the T rex fit the mx400. Its a little better outdoors than some but you still cant have much wind, if you want to fly in the wind you need a large size electric or a nitro heli, even the .30 size helis get tossed a bit in mild wind, Glad to see you caught the heli bug. I have had 3 electrics, started with a century hummingbird(fixed pitch), then the Century 3D Pro(shaft driven tail electric)CCPM, and now the MX400. Hey off subject is your jetta stock? I have done some work to the Passat and was curious.
rayhuang 01-31-2006, 02:09 PM Bone stock 1.8t. Its got some issues so I am nt sure if I will ever touch the motor/tranny. In time my wife wants soft sport springs, but thats about it.

Yeah I think I will be joining to sharpen my skills. Not sure where though, I have a friend who is sponsered by minature aircraft/excel who is supposed to teach me more.
rayhuang 02-13-2006, 02:12 PM ONe of the club members is going to track my blades and hover my Raptor for me till the links free up on the head so it wont be so twitchy. Goodness knows if I had to do all this myself, I would probably have to crash it a few hundred dollars worth to learn what they will teach me in one afternon at the field. The learning curve is so steep anyways.
