Just thought I'd put some pictures of my home built Hyper 7 truggy parts in here. The spur gear was a real challenge. It was a hardened one from a OFNA dominator. I had to bore it out to fit around the diff case and then cut one side of the existing gear flat to mount the larger gear around the diff. The real challenge here was it was so hard it kept breaking my tools.

Just so people will understand I'm not a real machinist. I finally managed to complete the gear machining by substituting a dremel for a tool post grinder. Works like a champ, but should probably come with one of those don't do this at home warnings.

BTW it handled like a pig but better than a true monster truck. I ran it with a Vspec and managed to complete one successful back flip after winning the A-main and promptly sold it.

Nice work! I just got a Taig CNC mill that I want to use for this sort of thing. I have no clue yet what I'm doing yet though. The only thing I've made so far is an aluminum skid plate for my XXX-T. It looks like junk but it fits and the screw holes line up. I guess that means I have lots of room for improvement.

what tools did you use for your shock towers and other flat pieces?
