Spill pepsi on the server again, Hank?

Hehe... pretty funny ;) The database crashed last night sometime after I went to bed. Didn't notice the problem until about noon today. We aren't suppose to access the Internet for non-business uses at work but I do peek in now and then. Luckly I was able to run a repair on the database and get it back on-line.

I'd have to look over the logs to see what was happening when it crashed but we've had a pretty big uptick in traffic this month... much more then I ever expected... and that may have done it. But we normally aren't that busy that late at night so who knows.

Could have been some rouge spider pounding the server for pages. Some people like to use programs to download every page from a web site but when you have over a half million pages on a site and the program doesn't play "nice" it can bring it to it's knees.
