Has anyone else noticed something new at Wal-Mart? 1/24 cars that look an awful lot like Maisto's in Jada boxes! Meanwhile, there are no Maisto cars on the shelves! What gives?

No. These were genuine Maisto Special Edition 1/24 - 1 box had a green '70 Mustang, 1 box had a blue '65 Riviera, and 1 box had a black '66 Chevelle. The crappy Lexanis are still in their crappy Lexani boxes.

Then buy the Maistos in Maisto boxes - they're very nice. The problem I see here is that neither product is represented properly. Someone could buy these, not knowing what they really are, and be dissatisfied in one way or another and lay blame for this dissatisfaction on the wrong party. Neither Maisto nor Jada deserves this. They are both fine companies making fine products.

I don't know anybody making a 1:24 '66 Chevelle other than JL (but that's in the future) & only JL & Jada is making a 1:24 '70 'Stang (Mach 1 & Boss 429). I wonder if these are new Miasto? I love thier stuff too!

Maisto makes a '66 Chevelle, they've been out for a long time. There's also one on a trailer in the WM Kid Connection series, I believe these are really Maisto. Maisto and Welly also makes a '70 Boss, been out for awhile.
