Just wanted to update everyone on the lastest news from Round2 Corp.

The following slot cars will be released in December 2005:

Thunderjet 500 Bowtie Brigade Release 10 (just 6 cars - 2 per case)

Vega Pro Stock in White
1970 1/2 Camaro in Tangerine
1967 Corvette in Gold
1959 Impala Convertible in Bright Red
1962 Bel Air in Metallic Purple
1970 Chevelle in Black
X-Traction Mopar Muscle Release 1 (just 6 cars - 2 per case)

1971 Hemi Cuda in Purple Chrome
1969 Dodge Daytona in Black/Red
1969 Dodge Hemi Charger in Silver
Plymouth Roadrunner Stock Car in Red
Dodge Viper GTSR in Yellow
Dodge Ram Pickup in Blue
Both X-Traction and Thunderjet 500 Pit Kits will be available again in December 2005.

In January 2006, Round2 Corp will release the X-Traction Dukes of Hazzard release. It will include the following cars:

Police Car in White
1969 Dodge Charger in Orange
Police Car in Dirty/Raced
1970 Dodge Charger in Dirty/Raced
For some reason, Round2 Corp has decided to release two different years of the Charger as this is how it is shown on my order form. Maybe it was just an oversite but have not heard back on the issue....wait an see.

Also, after bugging JL and RC2 for the past 2 years, it seems that some ideas have made it to production.

Round2 Corp will be offering Deluxe Pit Kits with a car body enclosed.
These will be released in both the X-Traction and Thunderjet 500 lines.
No further info has been release but as soon as it is, I will be sure to update you all here at Hobby Talk!

PS - Please be patient with Tom Lowe and his new staff. They are doing the best they can and learning as they go. The slot car business is very different from the die cast business and he needs as much support as possible. You will see some of the older bodies being used within the new releases until he can get updated bodies produced. The website should be up within another week or so, just in time for Holiday season.

Thanks

Great news thanks for sharing with us.

Just think in a couple of years we might be having a slot fest. Can you imagine a great collectors show and some organized racing maybe a Round 2 Fray style team races with their TJETS and XTs. That could be something to look forward to.

Tom Lowe if you are listening make your tune up kits Hop up kits with copper pickups and silicone slip-ons for rear and some cool decals. Also please make some better looking wheels for the TJETS everyone wants good looking wheels

Anything in particular we can do to help? Product testing, maybe? :p

I agree. Wheel choice is a great idea. The right tires & wheels can make a car. Slots or 1:1.

Hopefully the XTracs are without the motor through the hood. Always easier to add one if desired. :) rr
