These new slot cars that Johnny Lightning is coming out with are killer. Do you think they will make a 1998-2002 body style firebird?

Bad news and good news, guys. The bad news is that Johnny Lightning no longer makes slot cars... the last couple of releases were the last ones that will have the Johnny Lightning name on them. The good news is that Tom Lowe, the original founder of Playing Mantis, has left RC2 after they bought out PM, and he took the slot car business with him. He plans to continue it as a company called Round 2--check out their new forum over at the Slot Car Boards, though there's not too much there yet, as he's just getting off the ground.

More good news--a guy named Roger Corrie does a resin cast slot car body of the Firebird you're talking about. Check out the bottom right pic on this page...

I have purchased some of Roger's castings, and so has my father. They are excellent, and there are MANY cars to chose from!! From classics to muscle to imports.
