I finally found the new red Ford GT today.
It is a beauty.
Opened it when I got home.
And decided to do a wheel swap on it right away.
I drilled out the rivets, removed the axles complete with tires/wheels.
I took the axles with tires/wheels off a HW 100% Preferred '58 Corvette
convertible and installed them on the Ford GT.
The look now, in one word "SWEET".
I am impressed with this casting.

Spent 2 hours looking for that GT this morning,cannot find it here in the UK at all but i know others have.When i do find some,i will buy several and do some wheel swaps.

Bill look for donor casting for the tire/wheel swap that has two sizes of tires.
The MB GT casting looks much better with slightly larger tires on the rear.
The tires/wheels that I used in my swap fill up the wheel wells nicely.

i found the ford gt at wal mart with all the rest of the series.. i posted under diecast collecting. very nice car :)
