Can someone post some pices of the rear of their bodies. I have the Monte Carlo and need to see how to cut it out. It is my first one so any tips on cutting out the rear of the car and rear tire would be great!
Why does it say "I Love NC" on the rear??
Thanks!!!

take the top from a can of motor spray.. center it on the wheel with the body on.. draw a circle around it then cut it out..
or you can cut out the front wheel well holes.. then take the lexan circles you just cut out and center them on the rear wheel with the body on and draw a circle.. then cut it out..
It is best to cut wheel wells and mount the body when it is clear.. its alot harder with paint on..

Place body on chassis while it is clear. It makes it easier to properly align it, not everyone run the front wheels are they are located. Mark the area for body post or screw holes (if you use the screw on body posts) and drill. Remount the body and mark wheel and antenna openings. I use anything that is slightly larger than the normal size tires I use - unused front and rear foam to other items. After painting, wheel openings are cutout, protective covering removed, spoiler or body wing mounted attached, rear fender trimmed and rear is cutout just to point where spoiler it attached.
A wallpaper trim knife (the kind where blade can be replaced or snapped off) to scour trim lines straight and curved lexan scissors. For smooth clean body area different shaped items to sand the body and wheel openings.
you are correct it does stand for North Carolina,i'm guessing you have the proto monte Jeff Green[nascar nextel cup driver]edition.this body was developed while Jeff was racing carpet at the now gone race city r/c track in Mooresville Nc.
BTW,contact Bruce @ rc4less.com,he has a neat tool for cutting wheelwells.

Ice,
To cut out the rear, first cut out the spoiler along the molded lines. Hold the spoiler in place so you can see how far to cut out the back of the car. Start at the bottom of the bumper and cut up the back toward the spoiler. Make sure you have a radius when you start to "round the corner" under the spoiler.
