Around me putting out matchbox cars is like a store pulling teeth! Is anybody having any luck in finding all of the 2005 cars? :confused: I'd live to find the VWs for this year but no luck so far

My K-mart put out some Cayanns, the new Benz, and a few other new ones about a week ago. They're all still there, so just give it time they'll get there. :thumbsup:

The cars are out here, I think there wes a VW Bus That I saw in MB, cant remember for sure though.

the ford gt flew off the shelves .... i was able to grab only one .... but managed to get some other good ones .... am also waiting for the VWs

I 've been able to find most of what I want in regular MB at most Target stores, although good timing to catch them on the day or two after they're hung out helps.
I think HW are more popular than MB around here, but MB SF cars fly off the shelves fast at the WM stores.

It would appear that you all are relatively close to these stores and make numerous hunts either daily or at the very least weekly.

I don’t have the luxury and I had to stop those hunts due to gasoline prices going out of sight. It was an 82 mile round trip to go to town and it I hit the other stores in the opposite direction, it turned into 165 miles plus. Then days are gone for me. No more Every Tuesday and Friday as well as I must be headed that way for something else before and hunting is to be considered.

I have started using an O.L.D. (on line dealer) to get all of my Matchbox needs. It is very nominal difference in the shipping costs and the gasoline that I was burning up in a hurry and at times I did not find anything.

Oh well, sure glad Hank gave us this space and keep them pics coming. Love to look at them.

I know this is not a NSF, but if you are looking for one, I have an extra I found that other day when I got some groceries.

I have had some trouble tracking down a lot of them, but on HW day at K-mart, they put out a new case of matchbox. I picked up all of the ones I didn't have, especially the new charger; that one never stays on the shelf long.

Depending if I happen to be out driving, I try to make a few stops along the way and end up checking around a couple of times a week. I've seen the new Charger hanging on the pegs a few times at different places. I already have one and didn't need any more.

after the 2004 ordeal,i'm not even collecting the 05s,in fact i'm selling/trading all my matchbox except for my camaros and a few selects i like real well,if anybody interested in a BUNCH of MBs just lmk:confused:

I baggeda Silverado SS , Cayenne, Volvo wagon, and 2 Chargers yesterday along with superfast flat black Elky and a red Chevelle droptop.

for some reazon i've seen people hold on to this car like it was made out of gold .... dont know the whereabouts on its popularity but seriously ... this thing is hard to find

I'd say around my parts, they are somewhat a hit and miss type of find. I found mine relatively easy as they must have recently restocked. Some stores I have been in have them, some don't.

I found a bunch at one K-Mart but not a whole lot anywhere else.

I finally scored a VW the VW V12 At Kmart. Still looking for bugs and busses. If you need older VWs Either MB or HW give me a PM.

So far I havent had any problems finding the ones I'm looking for. Target, Toys R Us, and walmart have them in bunches.

i bagged almost all the new matchbox cars... also yesterday wally world had a whole rack of untouched matchbox they just put out. i grabbed the ones i needed like the red shelby concept, white svt lightning concept and so on. i can see them being peg warmers soon. i have a 06 charger opened and one in pack. well good luck searching :)

I'm about ready to give up on finding 2005s Ive heard of people already finding 2006s!

I found them today in a dollar store, haven't seen them on the pegs anywhere else.Got the Charger, London Taxi and xB.

It's a pity about the scales.

The different scales of the cars used to bug me but I have gotten to the point where as long as they are somewhere inbetween the range of a Dub City BTM and JL I am ok with it.
