View Full Version : what do you think?
blakwidowstang 10-10-2005, 12:35 AM I am wondering when jada is going to do a dub 2005 mustang. That would make my day. I mean they've already done the magnum and chrysler 300, doing the 2005 mustang would finish off the hot cars of this year. Maybe also a dodge charger. Ahhh, its been a long day and i'm just babbling. Night yall.
jedimario 10-10-2005, 02:14 AM That would be sweet! They might could even try putting it in the Big Time Muscle series if you ask me.
Atencio 10-10-2005, 02:17 AM Though a little big on the scale side the GT-R concept Mustang is a pretty nice casting. I think Jada could make a nice GT Mustang if they decided to do so.
madmanmark 10-10-2005, 07:23 AM They should definitely do it - in coupe and convertible. While they're at it, a 2006 Caddy XLR-V would be nice, too.
blakwidowstang 10-10-2005, 09:10 AM yeah atencio I know the GTR was already done, trust me, I have the 1:10 black R/C with the exclusive black 1:64, the 1:24 hobby orange w/ black hood, and the yellow and blue 1:64s. As for you madman, the xlr is a must also with the top up and down.
slimtwigmj 10-11-2005, 10:14 AM Maybe also a dodge charger.
They're in the process of making the charger. It looks awesome.

Don't they have one already?
Milezone 10-11-2005, 03:28 PM They did talk about doing the 2005 at one time, but I have not heard anything in awhile? Will have to ask my rep on that one. Would be a awesome ride.

blakwidowstang 10-11-2005, 04:54 PM with all the buzz around the 2006-7 shelby cobra 500 that may be what they're waiting on
reekman 10-11-2005, 04:58 PM Look for Jada to do the 2005 Mustang in the Big Time Muscle series in 2006.............
It will be one of the first BTM's next year...................
pontiaccrest 10-11-2005, 05:04 PM Any new Pontiac's????
in2deep 10-11-2005, 11:05 PM IMO they should make a series without dubs. =(
but yeah, charger sounds nice, i'd buy one.
madmanmark 10-12-2005, 05:36 AM Don't they have one already?
They did the CTS. The XLR is the roadster. Mattel did one in 1/18, & Maisto did a 1/64, but NOBODY's done one in 1/24.
slimtwigmj 10-12-2005, 10:41 AM Dropstar has small scale versions of the XLR in both hardtop and convertible versions

the charger looks nice. maybe they'll put a nice, clean pair of 5 spokes on the SRT-8 model. i'd buy that one for sure.
and they should make more 57 chevies. i <3 57 chevies.
rlyoung1 10-12-2005, 05:24 PM I would like to see more of their cars without DUBs myself.
omega_republik 10-12-2005, 05:44 PM but thats their thing ... putting those rims on is what makes them JADA ...
that'd be like shooting someone but removing the gun powder from the bullet ... :D it just wont go

they could make a stock series. that way they could even it out and make everyone happy.
omega_republik 10-12-2005, 07:28 PM now you've got me all thinking about this .....
*** pictures jada castings with regular rims ***
not bad at all ..... being that they already have the best paint jobs out there .... seeing stock cars would be a a good idea
rlyoung1 10-12-2005, 08:38 PM they could make a stock series. that way they could even it out and make everyone happy.
Road Rats, Von Dutch, Rick Dore (Road Rats) were all made by Jada, it can be done. ;)
Milezone 10-12-2005, 10:49 PM I'm with you guys, I would like to see some serious muscle without the oversized out of wack rims.

blakwidowstang 10-13-2005, 12:05 AM thats what i was thinking.....if i don't want dubs i just buy other brands
blakwidowstang 10-13-2005, 12:06 AM the feel on hobby talk here though is easy going. everybody kind of does their own thing and voices their own opinions.
reekman 10-13-2005, 12:15 AM Jada tried stock wheel when the first started.................
Anybody remenber "Showroom Floor".................
Nobody bought them, but evrybody bought a bunch of the Dubs..............
If your a company trying to make money.............
Which would you support..................
Stock wheels aren't dead..............
There is an '06 Dodge Magnum coming out on stock rubbers..................
And there has been talk about doing the BTM cars stock...............
Lot's of kinks to work out first..................
Atencio 10-13-2005, 01:30 AM They could make the Un-Dub series. I still have a 4 foot high Santa with a 7-Up belt buckle that my Dad got when he worked at a grocery store that says the "The Man from Uncola" Yeah I know, I am rambling totally off topic do to lack of sleep or poor attention span. What I need is a cool refreshing 7-Up.

They did do a series called Showroom Floor, which was the Old Skool/Street & Low castings with OEM wheels and tires. Some of the castings include the '53 Chevy, '64 Chevy wagon, '60 Impala, etc. They are impossible to find at retail, but are available at Collectable Diecast. I would love to see them do more cars in this series.
in2deep 10-14-2005, 10:54 AM well the charger srt-8 is still beautiful. i'd buy one, weither the rims were good or not.
madmanmark 10-14-2005, 11:20 AM Anybody else think the new 1/24 '63 Caddy would look great as a factory stock replica with wide whites and OEM wheel covers???
