I thought I'd start a new thread for the new season. Let's let the other ones die and use this new one for our new messages.

It was really great to see everyone today! Lots of familiar faces and some new ones who are certainly welcome! This track has a "fun" atmosphere that is hard to beat. You won't have a better time anywhere!

Thanks go to Aaron and Jim for, once again, working their butts off to give us a place to race. These guys are gems and I hope you appreciate their efforts. I know I do!

It was a terrific opening day with multiple heats in Mini-T, Stock Truck, Bomber, 4 Cell Stock and Brushless Pan Car. The track was in great shape and I think we all had fun! I heard lots of comments in the pits about how nice the track is and how much fun the racing is. That's what it's all about!

Thanks to everyone for showing up and tell your friends. It looks like we're going to have a really great season!

Kevin

Aaron - (I know you're out there!) Super job on Jim's web site! Nice photos and an excellent summary showing the race, drivers and listing the finish. That's a great idea!

You did good, man! Thanks for the effort!

Brad - good to hear from you.

Sorry, I won't be there this Sunday. I was there last week. I'm limiting my racing this year to about once per month or so. Two reasons - 1) I'm getting tired of traveling .. and .. 2) I'm losing interest in the hobby.

I've been thinking about going down to Fairmont some Saturday. I'll let you know when I might make the trip. It's an hour and a half drive for me, though ........uuugh!

I agree with Gene - lots of fun and good racing yesterday!

Thanks to Joe Martinez for being gracious and letting me gather my car back up after I clipped the inside wall. With a few seconds to go and the race win on the line, Joe could have forced the issue and made a pass on the inside. Instead, he chose to let me get straightened back up and race me for it. Although I took the win, Joe deserves congratulations for super-clean driving. Thanks, Joe!

Also my apologies to Jim for my over-agression in the Bomber main. It seemed like every time I had some room on the inside, I'd clip Jim's left rear corner and we'd both get loose. I must have tapped him hard on three different occasions. Again, sorry, Jim. I don't like to race like that. I'm glad you went on to a deserved win! I'll clean it up for next time.

Thanks to everyone who made the trip to race yesterday. A great group of folks. Lots of smiling, laughing and good, clean racing. If "fun" was the prize, then we ALL won yesterday!

Finally, thanks goes to Aaron and Jim for once again giving up their Sunday mornings and afternoons so that we can have some fun. You guys are the best! We couldn't do it without you!

Kevin

P.S. to proterminator and PrestoBoy - Joe and I kicked it up to 65 laps in the main yesterday. I think 66 is definitely possible - maybe 67. The track is fast and it's only the third week!

Arron where are you ? I don't see the results posted on Mr. Fulton's Hobby Shop web
site. I assume the race writer (panman) wasn't there or he would of posted his exciting write up. Hope to make it up there and race with you guys soon.

PanMan
11-01-2005, 09:17 PM
kaug - thanks for the kind words about the race write ups. I had fun doing those last year. Unfortunately, I'm only racing about once or twice a month this year so I've given up the summary writing chores.

Believe it when I say that Aaron is working hard behind the scenes! I know he's working with Jim Fulton on a new web site and it will be better that the current one. If we just give Aaron some time, I'm sure he'll impress us with his work!

Come on over and race with us - we'd love to have you join us! Let me know who you are so we can talk. I'm the old man with the salt and pepper beard. Hope to see you soon.

I plan on racing this Sunday, November 6. I hope a lot of folks are thinking the same thing! Let's have some fun!

Panman You missed a good time . we had about 48 cars . Jim Dawson is on fire
60 laps in bomber & 46 in mini t with 9 t's on the track in the races
But we found a way to get rid of him . we sent him to the Steeler game
with a sign taped on his back " GO RAVENS " see you later Chuck
