View Full Version : Why Isn't there a Matchbox Section? SF Cuda
moparmarc 10-09-2005, 01:54 AM I guess I will just post this here. I an now getting back into MB because of the good looking cars that are out now. I hope the pre cars come back.
Maybe if we get more Matchbox traffic we can get the Admin to add a Matchbox section?
My only Complaint about the NEw MB... are the Wheels! Put some Nice wheels on the car and they will Sell way more!
Here is a new one I Picked up today from a Friend. Not exactly Panther Pink but its still one of the cooler MB cars out.

Those are the nice wheels.
plankowner 10-09-2005, 09:29 AM I too would like to see a MB forum as well. Might get me to break out all the cars I collected when I first started collecting some years ago.
Macs_Little_Car 10-09-2005, 11:10 AM It may be because there are already forums sitting without any sponsors and it took over a year to get sponsors for some of the other ones. I am sure if somebody would offer to sponsor the MB Forum, Hank would add it
i like to see one too. but we can always use this one
i think mb had alot of cool cars this yr. more than hw this yr. maybe the 1st time for that

You make a good point. Most MBr's use this forum anyway. Hopefully someone will step up and sponser a MB forum. It might depend on the demand of course.

What would the roles be of a sponsor for these boards?
GO-GTO 10-10-2005, 07:12 PM My guess is that if Matchbox keeps up the good progress they've been making, there will probably be a lot more postings about MB cars in the future.
Pablodragon 10-10-2005, 11:05 PM on kind of a side note, back to the subject of the pink MOPAR....
got out one of the Superfast re-issues with these wheels on it...the Merc. Cougar... and was doing some gravity racing...
Cougar has a plastic base and the only car it couldn't beat was the new HW Mini-Cooper with the "faster than ever" wheels.
Roadster99 10-10-2005, 11:29 PM I love that Matchbox Cuda. I too would also like to have a matchbox forum. It's the only forum missing from this site. :(
Atencio 10-10-2005, 11:48 PM New Matchboxes are looking good. I bought 20 of them today. 14 regular ones and 6 superfasts. Best of the bunch I thought was a little black London Taxi. Since we are discussing Matchboxes I have a little rant. No...not those crappy looking wheels. I am getting better at ignoring them. No, what is really bugging me now is that MB does not put the year of the car on all of them. Some they do, most they don't. Never bothered me until I decided to make a database of all my cars. Looking at a third generation white conv. Mustang, how do I know what year it is? But MB will tell me what year that 69 Camaro is.
The dominance of Matchbox is being felt!
Hank, Final word is yours! I say do it!
Macs_Little_Car 10-11-2005, 09:08 AM What would the roles be of a sponsor for these boards?
Well, firstly, monetary support which helps pay for the boards and keeps them running, secondly, babysitting the masses to keep the SPAM artists off and to keep inappropriate posts off the board and thirdly just to help people out
You should do it Marc, email Hank and tell him you will sponsor a board!!!

Interesting that you mention this black London Taxi. I also bought a couple of them and find them to be very accurate to what is actually being driven in London, ie, black taxi cabs. Nice addition for anyone who has a taxi collection of 1:64 cars.
bbissell05 10-11-2005, 10:03 AM I have some M.B Models of Yesteryear car I need to get rid of. I have a post in the items for sale thread, but still have NO idea of their value. A M.B. thread would be nice. Thanks!!
