dose any one know how much a piston and sleeve is for stock savage 25 motor, part #'s and how difficault is it to do? thanks in advance

I remember RCCA had a few articles on replacing pistons and sleeves. Sorry I can't give you anything specific

from what ive gathered i think i need a piston, piston sleeve, and head gaskets/shims but im not sure about the shims could someone tell me if i need the gasket/shims? thanks

YOU NEED NOTHING!!!!! LOL J/K its about time you rebuilt that LOL!!!!!!! look in the manual i would think that has part #'s, if its not to much call me i might rebuild mine too, then we'll both have fresh engines to get mark LOL,

ya i know about the part #'s i thought of that after i posted this but im not sure about the gaskets under the head.

my dad got instructions from the hobby shop we use for parts and i now know how to rebuild it thanks to all who replied!

i have seen the piston and sleeve set on ebay go for around $50 bucks or so..also on the gaskets i dont ever change mine unless there was a problem before with them..only one i change after a rebuild is the header gasket.just check your head gastket and make sure it is sealing good along with the backplate

I went the route u are going with my tmaxx but the second time I went to rebuild I sent them off to get repinched. It cost me 15 bucks and it turned out better than new. I love the motor now. More punch and alot cheaper
