THE PURPOSE OF A W/L IS  TO INCREASE THE COLLECTOR MARKET, THE PURPOSE OF A T/H IS  TO START FIGHTS IN THE RETAIL STORES, A RAINBOW FORMS WHEN :( THE SUNLIGHT AND THE MOISTURE MEET, AND THERE IS NO EXPLAINATION OF HOW A PLYMOUTH POSI-TRACK WORKS! DIDNT KNOW THE MOPAR PEOPLE WERE CAPABLE OF THAT TECHNOLOGY!! LMAO!!!!!!
Just my 2 cents......aint nothing else to talk about on these MM boards so what the hell.....just talk alot of nonsense!
Peace out people.............

the raw ones are mere production pieces used to tweak out possible errors on the die cast and correct as many issues as possible before the actual mass-production model goes out .... raws are closer the the finished product than the resin ones but both serve the same porpuse ...
...so anyways, once the corrections have been made, a short run of "RAW" is made to see if the machinery will sustain its precision once the mainline starts runing ....

..... part 2......

since most of this "people" running the machinery have experience doing this, most errors are caught within the first few produced pieces .... so by the time even the raw ones are made, everything is tweaked out close to perfection..... so what could be considered a "Test run" (raw cars) is commonly upgraded to "rarer" collectable pieces ... :p

The raw cars were just a limited production colletable available through hobby dealers only ... thats about it.
while some raw cars are the first ones assembled MMs wernt, some had 2 or 3 painted releases before a raw version was released. Its been said that a raw car is harder to make because you must start with an almost perfect casting because any finish work will show up, I dont know how true this is though.

It started with the Raw Camaro, they were shipped out with the first 500 pre orders of the original 2000A&B release as a "thank you" to collectors for helping launch the line. Since MM didn't do chase cars and collector feedback was strong future limited Raw releases were done.
