And do new neon signs really cost that much to make, $1,000?

Seems kind of high when I've seen some of the fancier beer neon signs going for 250-500 from the brewery catalogs. Would be nice addition to the track area for sure. rr

RR is correct on the price range on normal "brewery size" neon signs such as this epay one.I design and build neon signs occasinally in my part-time sign shop, with the help of the best wholesale glassblower I've ever worked with! Generally ones simple as that are towards the $300-400 range retail, in this area. Here is a pic of one I designed for my sister-in-law as a gift to my brother-in-law, of our slot car club logo. It would retail in the same price range.

I thot everybody heard of the Mackenzie brothers- I'm such a knob sometimes eh!
HO Scale Electric Racing Series is what it stands for, and the Black Hills is only a couple hundred miles from Canada! HOSERS website is www.slotcars.org/hosers
If yer interested that is eh!

SCTV was much better before Comedy Central got ahold of it and edited the heck out of it. Wish they would broadcast the original shows.

DACSIGNS, that neon club sign is very classy. I hope it's hanging at one of the track sites on the HOSERS racing circuit. All of the tracks on your web page look extremely well done. It's nice to see track owners who put a little extra detail in their tracks just for the fun of it.

Thanks for the cudos, AfxToo, that Neon hangs in a window of my brother-in-laws shop office where 3 of the tracks are located, facing the racing room. As you saw, our tracks are limited on scenery and dioramic detail, mainly for marshalling ease. Those magnet cars can tear the heck out of scenery when they hit it, and beer drinkin marshalls like myself can be hard on the billboards and buildings too! Then when a slot lands where the diecast pit displays are we have been known to pick up a diecast first!
I've always wanted to do a highly detailed landscaped track like some of the beauties I've seen here, but racing function had to be priority for club racing.
